We just had an incredible time at the Te Au Moana Lū’au at the Wailea Beach Resort! 🌺🌊 Luaus are one of my favorite things about visiting Hawaii, and this one was truly spectacular.

"Te Au Moana" means "the ocean tide," and it's a beautiful celebration of our Polynesian ancestors and their deep connection to the ocean. From the breathtaking dances to the delicious food, every moment was unforgettable.

Hey there, fellow adventurers! 🌟 Day 3 in Iceland was an absolute whirlwind of wonder! 🇮🇸 Today, we explored the iconic Golden Circle and ventured into the charming Friðheimar Greenhouse! 🍅

First up, we marveled at the magnificent Hraunfossar falls, born from ancient lava flows, and soaked in the beauty of the nearby Barnafoss! 💦 Then, it was off to Thingvellir National Park, where history echoed through the ages on the shores of Iceland's largest lake! 🏞️

But wait, the adventure was just heating up! We indulged in a delightful lunch and dove into the world of tomato cultivation at Friðheimar greenhouse! 🌿 And oh, the tomato tasting? A burst of flavor like no other! 🍅

Next stop: the geothermal wonders of Geysir! 🔥 From bubbling mud pools to the mesmerizing Strokkur hot spring, nature's magic was on full display! 💫 And of course, we couldn't miss the breathtaking Gullfoss waterfall! 🌈

Wrapping up the day at Rangá Hotel, we relaxed in the hot tub along the river and savored a mouthwatering dinner! 🍽️ The smoked puffin appetizer, courtesy of owner Frederick, was a delightful surprise, as was the deck of cards featuring the hotel's unique artwork! 🃏 What a day of adventure and indulgence! Hey adventurers! 🌟 Day 2 was an absolute whirlwind of fun! 🇮🇸 Today, we dove deep into the heart of Iceland's icy wonders! ❄️

First stop: a scenic drive through historical Borgarfjörður to reach the heavenly Krauma geothermal baths! 🚗💨 Powered by Europe's hottest hot spring, Deildartunguhver, these baths were pure bliss! 🌋 After a soothing soak, we refueled with a scrumptious lunch at Krauma Restaurant! 🍽️

But the adventure didn't stop there! Oh no, we cranked up the excitement as we headed to Húsafell! 🏞️ Boarding a specially-made glacier vehicle, we cruised atop the Langjökull glacier, entering its icy depths through an enchanting ice tunnel! ❄️✨ The blues inside were out of this world, and we uncovered some of Iceland's coolest secrets along the way! 📘

After our icy escapade, it was time to chill out at Hotel Húsafell for a cozy dinner and a well-deserved night's sleep! 🏨 What a day of thrills and chill! Can't wait for more adventures tomorrow! 🌈

Just had a delicious, authentically Iceland experience at Fish Company in Reykjavik, Iceland! 😋🇮🇸 We had yummy bread, served with caramelized butter dipped in a delicious roasted granola, reindeer carpaccio, sous vide arctic char with beer foam, finished off with an inventive tiramisu. I'm trying things I would never order on my own and loving it!

Embarking on my Icelandic adventure was nothing short of exhilarating, especially considering my early morning arrival after a sleepless flight. As we traversed through the mystical lava fields from Keflavik Airport to Reykjavik, the remnants of a recent volcanic eruption still painted the landscape with fiery hues, a stark reminder of nature's raw power.

Our journey took us past the unassuming residence of Iceland's president, where I couldn't resist approaching the front door for a moment. In Reykjavik, we explored iconic landmarks like the towering Hallgrímskirkja, adorned with the proud statue of Leif Erikkson, a gift from the US that speaks to the enduring bond between nations.

Venturing further into history, we paused at the historic site where Reagan and Gorbachev convened, marking a pivotal moment in the waning years of the Cold War. The FlyOver Iceland Experience offered a thrilling glimpse into the country's natural wonders, akin to the enchanting rides found in Disney's magical realm.

Lunch at the Grand Hotel Reykjavik proved to be a surprising delight, with a duck salad that defied my usual preferences, blending flavors harmoniously. With anticipation building for tonight's dinner, courtesy of Visit Iceland, my appetite for Icelandic cuisine grows.

A word to the wise traveler: Iceland Air's economy class may leave you hungry, as complimentary food is a rarity. Stocking up on snacks and dining prior to boarding is sage advice, though they do offer complimentary beverages to quench your thirst along the way.

We didn't land today because the penguin population was too large to disturb. Instead, we did a zodiac tour and saw lots of gentu and chinstrap penguins! A great build-up to our expected landings tomorrow.
