Today, November 2nd, we visited the Golubac Fortress in Serbia. It is so amazing. They are still excavating the site. It was a medieval fortress at the widest point of the Danube. Another old world masterpiece we have explored this trip.

Bran Castle also known as Dracula's Castle in Transylvania was a treat. Being so close to Halloween, the castle was very busy celebrating. Good example of Medieval architecture.

Now the inside of Peles Castle in Romania. The woodwork is amazing. King Karel, who had the castle built, was originally from the Black Forest region of Germany. You see many influences from that region especially the ornate woodwork throughout the castle. Absolutely stunning.
