In advance of Giving Tuesday, December 3, The Wishing Chair Foundation is reminding friends and former participants of Institute of Study Abroad and Find My Ireland programs that help is needed to reach its fund raising goal of $50,000.

The Wishing Chair Foundation is a USA 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides scholarships for underserved college students to participate in educational and cultural programs through Institute of Study Abroad Ireland.

The mission of ISAI remains simply to help students become culturally competent on their way to becoming global citizens by using Ireland as a platform for developing comparative and critical thinking. Irish culture, history, literature, business and industry, narratives of social justice, and civil rights and more are integrated into authentic short structured programs.

As we head in to 2021, we hope our plans to help students access study trips abroad will resume ASAP. We have been working on virtual access too, and will hopefully roll out some great programs with Institute Of Study Abroad Ireland this Spring. Wishing you a healthy, safe and optimistic new year 💜
