Today, we're excited to reveal new character looks for Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip and Dale for their visits to Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point! Acclaimed Bahamian fashion designer Theodore Elyett created these adorable looks, which showcase the vibrant spirit of the beloved Bahamian tradition, Junkanoo.

Theodore designed all eight looks with traditional Junkanoo style in mind, including eye-catching details like fringe. Can you spot it in Goofy’s vest? Like Mickey Mouse’s conch shell shorts and Minnie Mouse’s pineapple purse, Bahamian island inspiration also makes these vacation looks especially bright—check out the ocean waves and sun rays in Donald Duck and Chip and Dale’s looks.

Disneyland Update:
We are closely monitoring Hurricane Hilary and making adjustments based on the latest information from the National Weather Service. Disneyland Resort theme parks will close early tomorrow, Sunday August 20, with Disney California Adventure Park closing at 9 p.m. and Disneyland Park closing at 10 p.m. The Downtown Disney District will close at 11 p.m.
Our resort hotels will remain open to serve our guests staying with us on property.

Pricing for the time-based onboard internet packages for Disney Cruise Line is being updated, and will take effect on the following dates:

🚢 Disney Magic - 7/31/23
🚢 Disney Wish - 7/31/23
🚢 Disney Dream - 8/1/23
🚢 Disney Fantasy - 8/5/23

At this time, the time-based internet packages are not available onboard the Disney Wonder. The ship will transition to these Internet packages in the near future.

The new pricing is as follows:

💰 $16/day when purchased for the full voyage
💰 $18/day when purchased for 24 hours
Basic Surf Package
💰 $24/day when purchased for the full voyage
💰 $28/day when purchased for 24 hours
Premium Surf Package
💰 $34/day when purchased for the full voyage
💰 $42/day when purchased for 24 hours

As a reminder, Guests can purchase Internet for 24 hour periods, or per voyage. Guests receive a 20% discount on voyage pricing vs 24-hour pricing, and adding additional devices to an Internet package will receive a 20% discount. If Guests purchase a voyage plan mid-voyage, they will only be charged for the remaining days. This quietly rolled out recently, but was officially announced by DCL today.

Pearl Castaway Club Members now have a new benefit associated with their Castaway Club status! Guests who are Pearl Castaway Club Members no longer need to select a Port Arrival Time for their sailing during the Online Check-In process. Instead, they will automatically be placed in the first boarding group for their cruise.

Please note, all other Guests will still need to follow the current process of selecting their Port Arrival Time during their Online Check-In window.

As a reminder, the Online Check-In windows are as follows:

🪄 40 Days Prior: Pearl Castaway Members/Concierge, Weddings/Vow Renewal, VIP, Media, and Make-a-Wish Guests
🪄 38 Days Prior: Platinum Castaway Club Members
🪄 35 Days Prior: Gold Castaway Club Members

Introducing DisneyBand+ Wearable Technology on Disney Cruise Line

The popular MagicBand+ technology used at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will start to make its way to Disney Cruise Line, beginning with a preview opportunity on select Disney Wish sailings before it officially debuts. At Disney Cruise Line, it is being called it DisneyBand+.

With DisneyBand+, guests will unlock the hands-free conveniences of wearable technology on the high seas for the first time on a Disney cruise. With three Disney Cruise Line-exclusive designs to choose from, DisneyBand+ will be the perfect accessory for a Disney cruise vacation.

With DisneyBand+, guests can unlock their stateroom door or charge a sweet treat or a souvenir to the payment card on their stateroom folio. Whether cooling off at the pool, snorkeling at Disney Castaway Cay or taking a thrilling plunge on AquaMouse, guests can be assured that their DisneyBand+ is adventure proof.

Children ages 3 and up can also use their bands in lieu of the Oceaneer Club Band to access kids’ clubs including Disney’s Oceaneer Club while onboard and Scuttle’s Cove at Castaway Cay.

Whether guests are meeting their favorite Disney character or striking a pose in front of the iconic Disney Cruise Line red funnel, onboard photographers around the ship are ready to capture vacation memories. And with one simple tap, guests can easily link their photos to their stateroom making it easy to view and purchase photos during their cruise.

Breaking news!
Disney Cruise Line and Singapore Tourism Board today announced magical cruise vacations to Southeast Asia for the first time, revealed by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro and Singapore’s Minister for Transport and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, S. Iswaran.

Under a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding, Disney Cruise Line and Singapore Tourism Board agreed to collaborate to homeport a brand-new Disney cruise ship exclusively in Singapore for at least five years beginning in 2025. More details about the maiden voyage, itineraries and onboard experiences will be announced at a later date.
