If the Lions’ and Tigers’ historical run wasn’t enough to be excited about, Detroiters just got another reason to celebrate — Detroit is receiving its own Michelin Green Guide.⁠

The guide, released in French and marketed towards French-speaking tourists, will be announced today, placing Detroit amongst the prestigious ranks of just 17 other U.S. locations. Unlike the more familiar Red Guide, which awards restaurants the prestigious Michelin Stars, the Green Guide goes beyond restaurants, highlighting important places of interest such as museums and monuments as well.⁠

Presented by Beacon Park Detroit DETROIT TRIBUTE IN LIGHT On this, the one-year anniversary of George Floyd’s murder, it is appropriate to pause and reflect on the past year. We hope you find inspiration and encouragement in an encore presentation of “Detroit Tribute in Light,” a community-centric video and light event honoring the courage and acknowledging the losses Detroiters have faced during the pandemics of COVID-19 and racial injustice. We know that the journey is far from over and acknowledge and honor those who struggle for justice in our community and beyond. Presented in partnership with Downtown Detroit Partnership, Mindfield and @TLS Productions, Inc.

The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy has broken ground for the final piece of the East Riverfront. Here’s an overview of the project, which was launched 20 years ago and is expected to be complete by fall 2022.
