My wife is currently working at the regional spelling bee. She just texted me that “Disneyfication” was one of the words. Really? Is this in the dictionary? I mean, I think it should be.

“Disneyfication is the process of changing something into a safe, controlled, and entertaining version of itself. The term is often used in a critical way to describe the commercialization of places or ideas.”

✈️ What is it about airfare? That's a loaded question. Airfare can often be the most variable factor of booking a vacation. Airfare prices fluctuate constantly due to real-time demand, competition, external factors and time of booking. This makes it difficult to predict the exact timing for the best deals. It can be very frustrating.

Some recommendations for booking airfare:

📆 Be flexible with dates – You can often find better prices by flying on weekdays or during off-peak seasons.

🔔 Monitor prices – Use flight comparison websites (I love Googleflights) and price trackers to monitor prices and set alerts for when prices drop.

📅 Book in advance – Booking in advance can lead to better prices.

📌 Consider alternative airports – Be flexible, flying from/to another airport can save you money. I have saved clients $600 per person by flying from Toronto. For a family of 4, that is a significant savings.

🕔 Travel during off-peak hours – Flying early morning or late evening can sometimes lead to lower prices.

💻 Consider booking on Mondays or Tuesday mornings and avoid booking on weekends.

This summer road trip was built around the P!nk concert. And, what a concert it was! It is hard to explain the pure euphoria that was in the stadium of 50,000 people. P!nk is genuinely there for her “friends” and it showed. I have been to hundreds of concerts over the years and I can honestly say, P!nk is now in the Top 5. If you get a chance, I highly recommend getting tickets to a show near you. And if you can’t make it, here is some of the fun…

Happily Ever After from a much closer viewing angle tonight. It was the perfect place to view the nighttime spectacular.

Nothing beats Happily Ever After fireworks to end the evening. Seeing the fireworks in this new perspective was so neat. Enjoy the finale…

My fascination with Disney began at the age of 3 with my first trip to “the happiest place on earth.” As my own children have grown, my wife and I have shared our Disney obsession with them, and Disney World is one of our favorite destinations.

I have been fortunate enough to experience Disney World throughout the year, from winter to summer, Thanksgiving to Christmas and the New Years Eve festivities. I also had the opportunity to participate in the Wide World of Sports Complex with my son’s team – what a great week of baseball and sportsmanship!
