Everglades National Park: off the coast of Chokoloskee Island, this was a very special experience, we rented a private boat and explored barrier islands, mangroves and met some dolphins: they were so playful and swam with our boat for quite awhile , such an intimate and close encounter.

A few days in Everglades National Park, FL. We stayed in Everglades City, off the beaten path very small fishing town with the kind of stillness I have not experienced before in city.
I will break up this visit in a few posts:
PART 1: gators of Everglades: did you know that gators and crocs are separated by millions of years in their evolutionary journey and they cannot inter breed. Crocs tend to be aggressive and are not very common in Florida. Alligators tend to be shy and hide from humans and are star attraction at Everglades. Sharing just a few sightings here
