Here are a few more photos from our trip to Granada. You are guaranteed to see beautiful sunsets, volcanos, Spanish colonial architecture & smiling faces.
We take you to Granada and then hit Volcán Masaya (see video post from a few days ago) in the way home for sunset.

The mountain range you are looking at in the background is the coast of Costa Rica. We are only about 30 min to the north of the border in San Juan Del Sur Nicaragua.

We had amazing hosts in Granada that took us out to their private island in the middle of Lake Nicaragua. Lake Nicaragua is the largest lake in Central America that rests at the base of Volcán Mombacho 🌋. It is also home to “las isletas” which are 100’s of privately owned islands within the lake. They are covered in mango trees and many are inhabited by monkeys!
It is said that las isletas were formed thousands of years ago by Volcán Mombacho 🌋 when it erupted. The top of the volcano exploded into millions of pieces and the largest ones formed islands.
This is just ONE of the many unique opportunities we expose you to when you travel with us.

This is our good friend from Germany. We met Luca last year on the beach and spent almost every day with him for the month. We still stay in touch to this day and are hoping to see him again this March in Nica!
These are the types of relationships we form year in and year out in SJDS, Nicaragua & we want to share this experience with you!

Granada, Nicaragua is one of the most historic cities in Central America. Founded in 1524 it is home to classic Spanish colonial architecture, it boasts the first church in all of Central America (1529) and also where American filibuster William Walker took up residence in 1856 for a year while he tried to take control of all of Central America.
Granada is located on Lake Nicaragua, the largest lake in Central America, and has amazing history, nightlife, food and CHOCOLATE! 🍫

We had an amazing work trip down in Nicaragua this weekend🇳🇮
Got to reconnect with a handful of friends and buisness owners that will be involved in our day to day operation come March when we launch the opening of our trips🌴

Beach Bars and Sunsets😍

One of my favorite travel memories took place at this beach bar, a day I’ll never forget. Two years ago a group of strangers took over this beach and made it their own. They came from Canada, Sweden, Ireland, Switzerland, the United States, Nicaragua , Australia, and the Philippines🌎🏝🌏

We entered the jungle as strangers and left that beach as friends. I still stay in contact with a few of those people. We’ve hung out in Boston. I’ve bumped into a few of them traveling through Nicaragua a year later. We’ll never get that group fully back together, but every time i see this beach bar while I’m in Nicaragua, it takes me back to that day🤙🏼😎❤️

The Dracut Boys. We all grew up right down the street from each other. Have been friends since we were little, and will continue to be friends long from now.
Getting to share memories with these guys in Nicaragua is the stuff we will remember for a lifetime.
Taking surfboards out with and without taking lessons is something I’ll never forget. Artie getting sucked up by a wave, and not coming back up for what seemed like 5 minutes was 😂
Hiking a volcano with on our first trip to Nicaragua was ughhhh. I won’t remember the volcanoes name or the views 20 years from now, but I’ll remember how miserable we were hiking that monster😫. We barley talked the whole way up, just stares at each other that screamed “dude, why the hell are we doing this”. Someday we’ll laugh about how many times we fell on the way down, and how many people we told to NEVER hike that volcano🌋
The look on face when it really set in for him that he was actually going to call his boss, from Nicaragua, and ask for another weeks vacation was PRICELESS! He couldn’t leave us after only one week🤷🏻‍♂️
Memories like this are what’s waiting for you in Nicaragua. The views will fade from your mind, the sounds of the waves will become quieter over time, but the unique moments you spend with friends in the country will last a lifetime🤟🏼
