Porter and his friends rode snowmobiles up to Kent's cabin for the weekend.
Well we got another video done. This one is the coolest Airbnb we stayed at.
So COVID wiped out most of the small lodges and gas stations on the Al-Can. We have 35 gallon in the truck and 100 gal aux fuel tank in the back. We would not make it on the truck alone. Sad to see the aftereffects of COVID.
Don't know where we are but that's freaking cool
14 hours of driving got us to white horse in the Yukon. My first view of the Yukon River. Eat sleep and do it again tomorrow.
Knocking off a bucket list item. The Al-Can highway. Hauling a 64 Cessna 185 from Anchorage to Utah with a good friend.
Back in Alaska finally. I forget howuch I love these planes and how beautiful Alaska is.
Ya Ya I know how far behind I am on video but I finally got one done. This is the intro to our 5 weeks in Costa rica

Yes we're behind but here's another late episode
Our family of 6 spent all of December in Manuel Antonio Costa Rica
Finally took her out for a ride. #7.3powerstorke
New video on YouTube. This was the best time of our trip with Carmen and her family. We had cultural experiences you just can't buy. The kids learned how to communicate with kids that don't speak any English. It was amazing to see them grow and see people that are very happy with so little. We all learned that travel is just so much better when you get to be with the people of the country. We love the Mexican people and all they did and still do for us. So incredibly blessed to have got to know them.

We finally got another video done on you tube ( link in the bio)
we get bribed by the police on this one (again)
Ivee loved to hold the rope and ride in the front if the dinghy. This was one of those perfect flat calm sunsets.
Last one promise. A little shout out to for helping us figure out the best setup for our rooftop tent. It has been amazing on this Baja trip. We sleep 4 on top and 2 in tents on the ground. If it were really bad out, all 6 of us could sleep in the roof top. #7.3lpowerstroke
One more palapa picture couldn't hurt!
Night #2 of our Baja Mexico adventure. We use the ioverlander app and it really saved us this time. We came in right at dark because we fought 40 mph head winds all the way here. I looked this spot up on the app, read the reviews, and checked out the pictures. The wind was still blowing so tree protection from the wind was a must. We are camping 30 min from the border and ready for a smooth entry this time! Had a great night sleep. 🇲🇽
Our Airbb In panama was about 10 feet from the water. We had this little sandy beach where we could sit with our feet in the water. I don't think I will ever get enough of the ocean. How about you? 🌎
El Archo Chato in Panama City. We spent the entire day walking the old Town of Panama in what felt like 95 degree weather. During the walking we decided to walk to a rental car place and rent a car. Haha.
The city is beautiful and full of people. Tomorrow we make our way to the Panama Canal. I have always wondered how that all worked.
While this is a little bit disney with costumes it's still a fun picture for the kids. This is in the plaza in cusco and if you want a pictures with bay lambs and alpaca it's going to cost 5 soles per actor. Local people dress similar to this but this is clearly a tourist thing. I love the colors in peru!
We have our spooky new video up on youtube. Mummies of Guanajuato. might be a little to much for the younger viewers. link to youtube in linktree in the bio

Ivee jumped right into the alpacca clothing. This pretty much explains Cusco, Alpacca everything and lots of history.
If you go anywhere in Cusco your going to climb steps. There are 125 steps to get to our airbb. We are at 11000 ft so it is tough to climb without oxygen. The alleys are beautiful so it's not that bad.
Cuy or guinea pig is a delicacy in Peru. Bryan and Porter were the only brave soles that tried it. Porter hated it and Bryan didn't like it either but he still ate it. He said it was missing a whole lot of meat. It was complete with teeth and all.
One of our tour guides told us his grandma has live cuy in her kitchen in a cage for whenever she needs one for dinner.

When I left 3 months ago on this trip I accidently forgot my Nalgene bottle. I thought I would just pick one up on the way. Well that turned into a mission impossible. After holding, hitting, squeezing a thousand bottles nothing could replace my Nalgene. I found one today in a shop in Cusco Peru.
I have owned my other bottle for probably 8 years and it has gone on every backpack trip, river trip, camping trip. I prefer the small mouth bottle. Admittedly, I have tried the cheap ones and believe me, they don't last. No, I'm not sponsored in any way, I just love these bottles.
The lines of Nazca has been on Bryan's bucket list since his last visit to Peru 20 years ago. These lines were made from 500 BC to 500 AD. There are thousands of lines and figures dug into the desert floor, again no one knows why.
We had an little plan flight scheduled to really see all the lines as they are over miles and miles of desert, but due to the dust and wind we had to cancel.
It just amazes me what has happened on this planet that we know absolutely nothing about. It makes our time here look so small.

Ballestas island is Peru's little Galapagos. We almost skipped this tour but man I'm glad we went. Here's a peek but someday I'll get all these videos done then you will really see these places.
The candelabra of Paracas. 2' deep 600' tall made in 200 BC. And noone knows why. The mysteries of Peru.
We made it to our first stop on the bus route to Cusco. Paracas is a tiny little town on a protected bay of the pacific ocean. It felt like we drove through Mars landscape for 3 hours after leaving Lima. Paracas only gets 20mm of rain a year. We're staying a couple nights to get some school done. 🇵🇪
Art supplies are a necessity on a long trip. I love to see them painting things we have done or seen. Hap has the most natural artistic ability in this group.

Quinceañera We were on our way back from the little market today and came accross this Quinceañera. If you don't know it's the 15th birthday party for a Mexican girl. It was the coolest most cultural experience. The band played and followed her all the way home to her house for the fiesta. It was neat to watch. #mexicolife #worldschooling #homeschool #familygapyear #familytravel
We stopped and rode a little but of a trail in the Olympic national park. It was so lush and green. We rode bikes everyday on this trip
I take video all day but this one is the coolest shot of the trip. The colors off the sunset while riding on the endless beach. Porter is surpassing my wheely abilities and I'm not to happy about it. #beachriding
Porter is so brave. I asked when he got home if he even gets nervous on stage and he said "no." I have done a lot of preforming and I always get nervous. I am so proud of him. He threw this together the night before and did so well. Now we are headed to the state welding competition today. This kid has been working every night after school and on the weekends, trying to perfect all of his projects he is working on. Stayed tuned. Good luck bud. We are proud of you!! #trvlwith6 #highschoolfreshman #music #guitar #hobbies
