This week's comes with a word of warning....this summer Camden got a frozen drink in Epcot, which was delicious and a great way to cool down on a hot day. I honestly can't remember the flavor of the drink itself. The word of warning is the "edible flower" on top for decoration. Camden said just because you CAN eat it, doesn't mean you SHOULD eat it! 🤣

So many of you have asked about our trips so I thought I would post some details for any who may be interested! I'll be glad to answer any questions you have about it, so comment below!

I normally shop for flights out of Richmond, Norfolk, DC, and Raleigh. I am not loyal to any one airline and look around for a good deal on flights that work for me. I use Google Flights in an incognito browser tab or Hopper to search. I try and fly out early in the morning so I'm in the parks between 9 and 10. It's about a 2 hour flight for us. For the flight home, we choose a later one to maximize park time!

For park tickets, one day tickets are pretty steep. The truth is though, one day park tickets to any amusement park are pretty steep! Disney does utilize date based pricing, so ticket prices fluctuate. One day, one park tickets range from $110-$210 and one day park hoppers range from $190-$270. The last time we went, we did the one day park hoppers for around $225. We also opted to pay for Lightning Lane Multipass to minimize our time spent waiting in lines. This was $25 for Magic Kingdom. We started at Animal Kingdom, so it was $15 per person. There is no additional charge once you park hop.

We take an Uber from MCO to the parks, which is about $50-$60 each way. This is not the cheapest but is the quickest method.

Last time, we rode Dinosaur, Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safari, and saw Kevin at Animal Kingdom. We also stopped for a quick breakfast. After that we hopped to Magic Kingdom. We did a sit down lunch and rode Pirates of the Caribbean, Under the Sea, and Dumbo. We did have a few other Lightning Lanes lined up, but we opted to skip them so that we could shop for some souvenirs. We also met Captain Jack Sparrow, and enjoyed the fall decor!

It is always a blast and totally exhausting to do a whirlwind trip like this! I love doing it, but my husband said it doesn't sound fun to him at all LOL! To each his own!

One of our favorite things about the Disney Parks is the incredible attention to detail throughout each and every property. We love being able to spot new details and surprises on each and every trip! There are hidden mickeys all over the place on Disney property. Some are very obvious and others require looking at something from a different angle. Can you find the hidden mickey in this picture??

Today's is a new treat that has recently arrived in the Magic Kingdom. All the way in the back of the park near Be Our Guest Restaurant is Gaston's Tavern.

We really enjoyed the Creme Brulee Croissant, filled with vanilla bean custard and a yummy caramelized sugar top. The kids also had a Lefou's Brew, which is an apple cider flavored slushy. There is even a small indoor seating area in the air conditioning!

Today's takes us to Animal Kingdom! Adventure Outpost at Animal Kingdom is the ONLY place in WDW to meet Mickey and Minnie together and as an added bonus they are in their snazzy safari gear. If the character meet and greets are important to your party, take some time to learn how to find them in the My Disney Experience app. Some characters meet all day, and some meet at scheduled times.

So full disclosure....we have always been hesitant to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge because of having to bus to all 4 parks and it being so far from Magic Kingdom. On our last trip, we decided to stay an extra night and booked at AKL. Let me tell ya'll, we had the BEST experience! I am so sad we waited so long to try it out but we will definitely be back!

The service was top notch, there were so many animals on the Savannah and viewing spots to check them out, and the food was great! There is so much to do, we could honestly stay at the resort and not even have to do the parks. Not to mention the resort is stunningly beautiful!

There are two sections of the resort and a shuttle that runs between the two. The pool area is phenomenal. There are also cultural representatives from various countries in Africa. These cast members help guests create a "String of Memories" by setting up stations around the resort. At each set time, there is an interactive presentation on different aspects of African culture. Guests get a bead from each station.

I highly recommend this resort and can't wait to book there again!!

Whew, the page has been quietly lately with school getting started back for the year! There is so much to share and I'm working on scheduling content for the next few weeks.

This week's takes us to a bit of a hidden gem in Magic Kingdom. On our last trip, we needed a break from the heat and we were easily able to get a last minute reservation at Tony's Town Square Restaurant! Featuring a Lady and the Tramp theme, this restaurant serves pasta and other Italian favorites. The appetizers were the star of the show for us! We enjoyed the garlic bread with cheese sauce and the massive mozzarella sticks...the service was fantastic.

Welcome Foolish Mortals....did you know that a stand-by wait time of 13 minutes on The Haunted Mansion actually means the ride is a walk-on with no wait?? When you see that number pop up in the My Disney Experience app for wait times, RUN, don't walk and LOOK ALIVE!

Our crew did the Four Park, One Day Challenge on our last trip....the "rules" of our unofficial challenge were 1 ride, 1 snack, 1 Character meet, and 1 photo per park.

We spent over 15 hours, logged over 25,000 steps, 10+ miles, and used 3 modes of Disney transportation. This was such a fun twist for us and a new way to experience the parks!

We ended the day with a Cake Pop and a cold refresher from Trolley Car Cafe in Hollywood Studios!
