The Birth of a Company

Our tour company began with four knee surgeries and the desire to recover so I could enjoy the gorgeous Florida lifestyle once again. Cycling became my go to therapy and I biked from the Ocean to the Gulf, from north to south along gorgeous Florida byways and urban cycling trails. I am also a Floridaphile, loving the history and insane tales of this paradise for which I am native.

One of my friends, knowing my passion for all things Floridian and my love of biking for recovery and sheer joy, suggested I start a bike tour company of the areas of Florida which so pull at my heart. I began to think about this as a possibility. Meanwhile, I grew tired of biking without my dearest right hand who no longer had the balance for a two wheeler, so I convinced him to try an adult tricycle at our local bike shop. He was hooked. He told me he felt like a kid again, and I share with him that is exactly how I feel every time I take off on my bike.

And, that idea of bike tours in Florida began to evolve as I thought about others who would enjoy gentle exercise as they take in the scenic routes of Florida, stopping to smell the flowers and learn something about their Florida communities. Making connections with others as we share the joy of riding along at an easy pace, sharing a meal, and learning something new can only keep us young at heart.

So, iTrikeMoore was born as a company with the purpose of increasing well-being and happiness through sharing a morning, or afternoon, or an entire day being in the moment and drinking in the natural and man-made wonders of Florida. We offer tours on tricycles modified for ease, comfort and safety. Our tours are small groups of 10 - 12 individuals who are capable of light exercise and love the Florida sunshine. We plan stops for photos, refreshments, socializing, educational attractions, and sharing a meal. It’s not about the miles, with us. It’s all about the smiles.
