During our tech tour to California we had visited various tech companies - software company, tech giants and startups.
Exadel is a software engineering company that offers custom development services with R&D centers with a particular focus on mobile in North America and Eastern Europe. Exadel had a wonderful office in Walnut Creek and we have met with the founder and CEO of Exadel - Fima Katz
We have visited HQ of Google in Mountain View. Elchin Zeynalli who is doing his internship at Google was very kind to show us around and share his knowledge of the company.
Mobile Action Mobile Action is a marketing platform that provides user acquisition solutions for apps. It provides services for brands, agencies, and publishers to market mobile apps through an organic app store, SEO and paid campaigns, higher downloads, ROI, and more. We have met with the CEO and founder of Mobile action Aykut Karaalioglu.
While visiting Twitter we have met with Engineering Manager at Twitter Ibrahim Okuyucu. Ibrahim is not just a regular Engineering manager, he is also a great mentor, advisor and an angel investor. He contributed tremendously for the growth of Mobile Action and also helped to found Innowest - a great incubator in Sunnyvale.
Founded by Stepan Pachikov, the Evernote web service launched into open beta on June 24, 2008 and reached 11 million users in July 2011. In October 2010, under the present CEO Phil Libin, the company raised a US$20 million funding round led by DoCoMo Capital with participation from Morgenthaler Ventures and Sequoia Capital.
Evernote offers a closed source freemium suite of software and services, designed for notetaking and archiving. It's amazing to know that the founder of Evernote is originally from Azerbaijan. During our visit to Evernote, we have met Leonid Kitaynik - an amazing scientist who is the Vice-President of IP at the company.
Palantir Technologies is a private American software and services company, specializing in data analysis. Founded in 2004, Palantir's original clients were federal agencies of the United States Intelligence Community. It has since expanded its customer base to serve state and local governments, as well as private companies in the financial and healthcare industries. During our visit we have met different engineers and managers of the company.
