Wow , who would have guessed? Thanks to a "concerned citizen" that pointed out that it was a federal offence to sell Canada Goose feathers, I changed the feathers on these arrows to Turkey tail feathers. Nice however, through the process the customer decided he would like one of the same with a Bison leg bone point. So here you go , Points are stone, bone and trade point, hafted with pine pitch and charcoal . Shafts of Wild Rose with Turkey tail feathers, deer sinew and red ochre paint.

Not very often I get commissioned to make replica arrows for collectors or museums, but it has happened from time to time. Here are two replica Cheyenne arrows I just finished. Both from Wild Rose shafts. One with a trade point I made from banding steel and one with a stone point I made from Obsidian . fletching tied with deer sinew. Points are hafted with pine pitch and charcoal glue. Red Ochre for color.

Here is a real beauty, a Pacific Yew longbow, 64" long and pulling 47 #@28". The bow has a rawhide backing and Bighorn sheep tip overlays. This bow was hand crafted from a beautiful Yew stave that has some stunning rollercoaster snake (Belly to back) that's was meticulously carved from the stave. Rawhide backing to protect the sapwood on the bows back. All topped off with a set of Bighorn sheep tip overlays to set it all off. On the " bows in stock " page on the website

Now that I am semi retired its great to mess around with ideas. Here are two sets of arrows for the stock rack (raptorarchery.com) The yellow are 45-50 # and the red are 50-55 # both out of Port Orford Cedar.If you need arrows for hunting season, now is the time. I will be gone all of September for hunting this year. as usual I look forward to all of your hunting stories after hunting season . Straight shooting.

Another set of arrows just before hunting season. That's it, last of the custom orders. Whew! thirty four years. No more custom arrows or bows, just stock inventory from now on. I know , I haven't been around for awhile. Lots of changes and lots of orders to fill. Here is a new dozen arrows for the arrows in stock page. These are pretty special . Old Port Orford Cedar shafts in 21/64" dia. (old size between 5/16 and 11/32"). These are tapered to 9/32" in the back 10".

Set in Florida in the late 20s and 30s traipsing about the swamps with Don Carson, bows in hand, kind of like Tom Sawyer and the Thompson brothers all rolled into one. Great stories of times long gone. Pick up one for your hunting buddies as well.

A beautiful Pacific Yew bow that is right handed 62" long and pulls 52 #@28". I havent had much time to work on selfbows but I managed to pull this one out of a perfect Yew stave. On the website under bows in stock.
