Directions on a ship are not given in North, South, East, & West. When onboard you’ll be given directions like Forward, Aft, Starboard side, or Port side. Being familiar with those terms will help you navigate around!

Forward- the front part of the ship
Aft- the rear part of the ship
Starboard- the right side of the ship when facing forward
Port- the left side of the ship when facing forward
