ong project to learn more about their behavior and to find more efficient ways to catch them, emphasizing a practice of release regardless. Beginning with conventional, moving to light tackle to ultra light tackle, and now to fly-fishing, Gary has always enjoyed the challenge. Gary sums up his fishing philosophy – “During my 65-year career, Sport Fishing has always delivered its promise; and I am always compelled to return. However, as you begin to peel off the layers it becomes so much more. With every species, there are behaviors to be understood. With each new destination there are different habitats, cultural differences and environmental considerations to be understood.”
Graham, a prolific author, has written two guide books for Baja fly-fishing: “Gary Graham's No Nonsense Guide to Fly Fishing Southern Baja” and “Gary Graham's No Nonsense Guide to Fly Fishing Magdalena Bay.” He also contributes a monthly column in Pacific Coast Sportfishing as well as feature articles for both national and international publications.
