Travel Planning Adventures for Those Who Want to Experience Something Meaningful and Luxurious
I once knew a woman who loved to travel. She traveled every chance she could. While checking in for a flight, the attendant told her the plane was overbooked. The man standing behind the woman was angry and frustrated and began to berate the attendant. The woman’s heart sunk having been through this before and quietly asked what her options were. The attendant smiled at the woman and took her on board to a first class seat. “Thank you for not yelling at me.” The woman smiled in appreciation. She had experienced first class a few times before, but this was an unexpected lovely surprise.
Years later, the same woman was invited to Switzerland on a private jet. The plane was catered with chocolate covered strawberries, an assortment of fresh bread, cheeses, champagne and wine. The seats unfolded into comfortable beds with beautiful linens and plush comforters. She had a wonderful nights sleep. When she woke, she was offered coffee and a delicious homemade breakfast. The lovely attendant asked her if she had ever seen Switzerland at dawn from a cockpit. She just nodded her head no. The attendant took her hand, unfolded the seat between the pilots, and gently strapped her in. The view was unlike anything she had ever witnessed. Hues of purple, pink, and blue laced the sky before them. The sun was emerging from its sleep ready to show the magic of its awakening. In the far off distance the woman relished at the scene below. Snow covered mountain tops and valleys of different shades of green. It reminded her of a painting, a dream an artist articulated just for her. She was moved to tears at the magnificence of it all. It was as if the crew had come together to give her the most spectacularly moving experience of her life. The crewed smiled knowing their plan was a success. The woman was grateful and never forgot this magical experience.
I have a confession to make. That woman was me. Luxury. Travel. They go hand in hand. While the word luxury in the travel industry usually refers to private jets, first class seats, 5-Star Hotels and Restaurants, it also refers to experience which is a relative term. What is high end for one person may mean something entirely different to another. I have traveled both ways. This is my specialty. My clients are my family whom I meet at the intersection of intentional listening, compassion, meticulous planning, and ultimately the creation of heart opening adventures.
To travel is not necessarily to sightsee, but to see. The greatest aspects of travel have to do with using your time however you wish. Whether you want to hike, sit on a cliff and ponder life, travel by boat, jet, private driver, or all of it is completely up to you. My strength is finding out what fills that beautiful heart of yours and matching it with my rockstar connections so you can experience your vision whatever it may be.
