It was a long time coming and today we put rubber to asphalt on Ashtonash! 🚀 17 brave pioneers pedaled into Appalachia; biking between 3,200 and 3,800 feet of incline. ⛰ At least 2 people fell off their bikes. 💁‍♀️ 5 people made it to a secret, surprise Tiki bar. 🍹 “Sandy mush” got thrown around a lot. 🗺 Team “Doing Dollywood” got a free home cooked meal from a sweet 79 year old lady named Freda. 🌭 17 people ran out of water. Team KFG drank from a stream. 💧 Mr Kitty Litter Pedersen (a) won the rad bike award and (b) is down to 6 of the 7 stitches in his shin. 🌵 More than one flat tire. 🚲 Tacos were housed. 🌮 2 people missed the start line ceremony 🙊🙊 … More adventure tomorrow 🤘

Congrats to all the teams that successfully pioneered Lost in the Ouachitas! Mr Sam summed it up nicely with “7 days of misery in only 2 days.” It was wet. There were dead fish.
