Some of my favorite landscapes from our backpacking trip to the St. Helens blast zone.

1. The view from "the saddle" about a mile from camp where we could see Helens and everything in between. Lots of elk running around in that field below us.

2. From "blast zone butte" looking down on ridge camp where we stayed. Can you see our tents?

3. The colors were everywhere! Blueberries provided much of this color.. and yes, we snacked on them endlessly.

4. The debris field from the Johnson ridge observatory. It's pretty crazy to see how much the lava dome has grown, even since I was last here in about 2002.. (which now that I say it is quite a long time, just not on geologic time scales 😅)

Y'all... I sent a V6 for the first time ever. So fu***ng stoked. After Baker I felt like my bouldering had taken a back seat for so long that serious progress had been lost.. I'm starting to realize it comes back faster than I thought.

Climbed Koma Kulshan (Mt. Baker) as part of a 5 day mountaineering course. Loved (mostly) every second. This is my I did it pose.

Did a little climbing at vantage last week. This is a moderate (5.7) trad route that I top roped. Super fun chimney pitch. My first chimney and it was super addicting! I'll be doing more... Definitely want to go back and lead it someday. It's called "seven virgins and a mule".

Got a new toy today. Apparently folks love these things. I am starting to see why. She cleans up very nicely! This will eventually be set up for autocross 😁

I worked on this project from before to after The most recent lockdown. super proud of the progress I made because at the beginning I couldn't even do the foot cut from the start to the second section..

And then once I got that, I probably went for that top hold 100 times over the last few months, even worked on a similar move on my home wall to try and train for this, so I definitely feel a lot of pride as you can tell in the video when I finally send it. 😎
