Modern popular embroidered clothing of direct Mayan descendants in Mexico 👗🧶
Traditional embroidered clothing is an important part of the culture of Mayan and other Mexican native descendants; they represent the wisdom and skill of their ancestors, and by passing on and wearing these garments, they conserve their cultural traditions. It is also a way of recognizing one’s identity and ethnicity, and an expression of one‘s cultural roots. These embroidered garments have exquisite patterns and unique designs, while modern Mexican embroidered garments have a mixture of multiple styles from several ethnic groups, making them very artistic and ornamental.

Corn represents an elemental component within Mexican culture. Since ancient times, corn has been regarded as one of the staple foods of the Mexican people and is also considered a symbol of Mexican culture and identity.
Corn was created by the ancient Mexican cultures from a grass called ‘teocintle’ and bred into what we know today as corn.
In ancient Mexico, corn was considered a sacred food and was used for offerings to deities and rituals. Many cultural festivals and celebrations in Mexico are associated with corn, such as “Day of the Dead” and “Fiesta de la Santa Cruz.”
In many parts of Mexico, people still grow corn through traditional planting, harvesting, and processing methods. Corn is also the basis of many traditional Mexican dishes, such as tortillas, corn meal, corn flower, and more. In addition, Mexican food culture also has many special meals related to corn, such as enchiladas, tacos, burritos, sopes, huaraches, gorditas, and many more.
