The House of Stories
Welcome to Casa de Cuentos (The "big" house) and Casita Ave Maria (The "little" house) in Taos, New Mexico.
We, Dave and Tammi Clancy, purchased our vacation/future retirement home property in 2007. We had often visited Taos and enjoyed our short stays. It was during the filming of a short, indie-film for a friend, with Taos as the location, that Tammi declared she wanted to retire in Taos.
The Taos magic blessed that statement and six weeks later we closed on the home we now call: Casa de Cuentos. We have had the most amazing guests and they have all added to the charm of our home. We built the casita, Casita Ave Maria, designing it and building it ourselves, and finished it in 2010-across from Casa de Cuentos-our original home first purchased in 2007.
For 12 years we have been in the vacation rental business here in Taos, New Mexico. We do all of our own booking, cleaning, maintenance work and remodeling. Dave continuously has a remodeling/building project of some sort going on--we strive to make our homes more cozy and inviting.
