Most Sawyer County Trunk Highways (Example: County Rd F) are now open for ATV use! New paper maps coming later this year.

On Thursday, June 13, the Sawyer County Highway Department finished installing new ATV route signs for recently approved routes (the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors approved 19 new ATV routes

A turtle’s shell is tough but not tougher than your tires! During this busy travel weekend, slow down, be alert and reduce distractions, especially on roads near wet areas, lakes and rivers where turtles are likely to be.

It is March 11, 60 degrees, and the docks just went in at Mia's Black Dog Lodge! Spring yardwork has started, and the firepit is ready. Normally in NW Wisconsin we hope that lake ice will be melted in time for the season opener (first Saturday in May). This has been a Winter like no other. But what a wonderful gift to be able to see those waves so early in the Spring.
