Valley Children’s Hospital has recently unveiled a magnificent new entrance that includes areas for visitors to sit, a bus stop and pick-up/drop-off area, and cast in place concrete hearts and flowers which were installed on a small hillside. Bomanite Licensee Heritage Bomanite was chosen to bring the 36,700 SF decorative concrete vision to life.

At the heart of the front entrance transformation was the use of Bomanite Sandscape® decorative concrete, which was chosen for its inherent ability to endure the constant flow of visitors while maintaining its pristine look. Renowned for its durability and striking appearance, Bomanite Sandscape® provided a beautiful, slip-resistant surface that was perfect for a high-traffic area like this hospital entrance. Additionally, the project introduced a custom blend Bomanite Sandscape® Refined color-hardener slurry system. This innovative approach allowed for greater customization in color and texture, giving the entrance a unique and personalized touch. Throughout the project, individual hearts were poured in place and finished with a Bomanite Revealed finish. These elements added a special, artistic flair to the design, symbolizing the care and compassion at the core of Valley Children’s Hospital’s mission.

Heritage Bomanite was awarded the 2023 Best Bomanite Exposed Aggregate Systems Project GOLD Award for their stellar installation and meticulous attention to detail, bringing a new lease on life back to the front of the building and making it a warm and welcoming place for small children to visit.

In the heart of Belle Chasse, LA, the Croatian American Society Cultural Center stands as a vibrant testament to the rich cultural heritage of the Croatian community. Recently, this beloved institution has undergone a remarkable $4.7M transformation and Bomanite Licensee Jeffco Concrete Contractors, Inc. was chosen to install 4,865 SF of decorative concrete in the exterior dining/event space. Recognizing the need to enhance its outdoor space, the Center’s leadership sought a solution that would not only be aesthetically pleasing but also durable and functional.

In collaboration with the project designers, the decision was made to utilize Bomanite Imprint Systems featuring the Bomanite Small Random Slate pattern to bring their vision to life. The chosen colors, Bomanite Coquina and Bomanite Nickel Gray, were selected to harmonize with the surrounding rustic wood and stone elements, creating a cohesive and visually appealing exterior dining and event space. This full-color and imprint project seamlessly integrates with the natural aesthetic of the area, enhancing its overall ambiance. The project was meticulously executed in seven separate pour phases, ensuring precision and quality throughout the installation process.

For this project, Jeffco Concrete snagged the prestigious 2023 Best Bomanite Imprint Systems Project GOLD Award. The renovation of the Croatian American Society Cultural Center is a testament to the transformative power of innovative design and expert decorative concrete craftsmanship.

After convincing the owner to create a new entry in a more suitable location, Bomanite Licensee Heritage Bomanite re-graded the site and designed the Crystal Tree pool deck to meet ADA requirements. Bomanite Imprint Systems and the Bomacron Slate Texture pattern were utilized here to create the decorative concrete hardscape surface.

What would typically be a simple remove and replace became a bit more complex after severe weather disrupted demo and installation and when ensuring the surface was brought into ADA compliance. Heritage Bomanite worked hard to maintain their relationship with the contractor, creating a bond of trust that they can rise to any challenge and create consistent, beautiful work.

Bomanite Licensee Architectural Concrete & Design, a firm renowned for its expertise in architectural decorative concrete, took on the challenge to install a new courtyard for Utah Board of Education utilizing Bomanite Exposed Aggregate Systems featuring Bomanite Sandscape® Texture. This project was unique in its approach, employing two pours of two integral colors to create a visually striking and highly functional outdoor area. The goal was not merely to renovate the existing space but to elevate it into a modern, aesthetically pleasing, and multi-functional courtyard. Working with an in-house design team, Architectural Concrete & Design envisioned a space that could seamlessly blend with the architectural ethos of the USBE building while introducing an element of contemporary elegance. The decision to use Bomanite Sandscape® Texture in two contrasting colors was driven by a desire to create a dynamic and engaging environment that could inspire creativity and tranquility.

One of the project’s core considerations was selecting a material that could withstand the rigors of Utah’s climate while maintaining its visual integrity. Bomanite Sandscape® Texture, known for its durability, low maintenance, and the ability to incorporate multiple colors into the design, can withstand the rigors of high foot traffic and provides a non-skid surface. It was an ideal choice, ensuring that the courtyard would remain a vibrant and inviting space for years to come. Architectural Concrete & Design has showcased the transformative power of architectural decorative concrete and this project stands as a beacon of modern design, inspiring future projects to push the boundaries of creativity and functionality.

Eureka Elementary, a new build school in the Rockwood School District in Eureka, Missouri features Bomanite Custom Polishing Systems.  The school district specified decorative concrete flooring that was a reasonable cost but, just as important, durable and beautiful.

Bomanite Licensee Musselman & Hall Contractors utilized the Bomanite Renaissance custom polishing system to complete the 22,500 SF project.  The project required four colors of Bomanite Renaissance poured in contact with each other in a geometric pattern of bands, then ground and polished as one slab.  They placed 2-inch-thick topping slabs in four different integral colors.  The Bomanite colors used were French Gray, Natural Gray, Sand, and Coquina.  The effect is beautiful and durable, as requested, and will be a lasting and stunning feature throughout the school.
