NEW FOR 2025!!! We’re introducing the Bob Marshall Adventure! This is an incredible experience filled with many different fishing opportunities. We’ll spend days fishing the Blackfoot, the North Fork of the Blackfoot, and other smaller streams. With a mix of backpacking in “The Bob” and float fishing the esteemed Blackfoot River (the setting of the novel/movie, A River Runs Through It), there’s no shortage of new angling experiences. We’re also excited about our new outcamp along the edge of the Bob, helping to keep trips running smoothly and providing a place for the group to recharge.

NEW FOR 2024!! Celebrating our 10th anniversary of recreating within Yellowstone, we are featuring a brand new trip, ‘The Yellowstone River Expedition’! This is arguably one of our most ambitious trips, featuring many different water types, locations, and species. Campers will fish the river from its headwaters across Yellowstone Lake, down to its exit from the park into Paradise Valley (and of course everything in between). When sunsets end and darkness takes over there is still lots of fun to be had with our LFFE groups! The hot summer sun stops beating us down, and diamonds in the sky light up the world. As shown above, it’s a sight to see!

Lions and bison and bears, oh my! There was no shortage of wildlife encounters this summer with dozens of beautiful animals seen throughout our trips. With herds of bison in the hundreds, and lone wolves leaving distant tracks, the feeling of truly being off the grid is apparent on many of our backpacking excursions!

The Montana Guide School guys were amazing this summer! The group fished on some of Montanas premier trout streams and as you can see, they’re premier for a reason! These fisheries can be tough, and can make catching a fish feel impossible. Thankfully, our guides taught our campers well, and gave them tips and techniques to row, fish, and read the water on these incredible, yet difficult fisheries.

LFFE’s first-ever(!) Bozeman Day Camp was a big success! Our youngest campers had a great week full of fish, smiles, and adventures! We believe that you’re never too young to experience the joys and lessons that fly fishing teaches. Great job, guys and great fish!

It was all smiles for our Puerto Rico Name Name Lodge Expedition this summer! Wether our campers were hunting the flats for permit or exploring the mangroves for jumping tarpon it was hard not to smile on this once in a lifetime adventure! The group did amazing on these tough salt water fish and made the most of it with their time. Although it seemed like there were endless tarpon to catch, there were also many shots at permit, snook, snapper, and more!
