One of the "coolest" 😉 🐋 destinations I promote and sell quite a bit of is This is one of the places to visit while still seeing some of the best of America.

My favorite way to experience is by both land and sea. Why not explore both of these beauties while you're at it. Alaska may be a one and done, but several travelers have told me - they've just begun! Whether it is seeing the iceberg glaciers up close, the wildlife both in the water and land or the tundra wilderness that grabs their hearts, draws you in

Made it to Deutschland 🇩🇪🫶

Here’s a few things I’ve already learned on my return to Germany:

1) Renting a car and traveling in the EU has changed a lot since COVID - taking the car into Italy super big up charge (think thousands) and only certain cars are allowed

2) We always get the insurance but bc we will be traveling across “country lines” similar to our state lines there’s an up charge - bigly

3) Our connection in ATL was over an hour but a delay taking off shrinked that to about 25 min to make it to our gate, the flight change was last minute too out of our control but we ran a bit and made it,

However, if we missed the flight Delta would have gotten us on another flight but we might of lost our Comfort+ seats - there’s reimbursement for that case and I help travelers recoup that if necessary

We have already decided next trip we would take a hopper flight into Italy and rent a car from there it’s a lot more affordable.

Despite the hiccups which are always going to happen bc it’s travel and unpredictable- I’ve got to hug my kiddo’s neck and already see some blue skies with cooler temps and half-timbered houses 🤸🤸 more to follow

Traveling again... ✈️ this month I will be exploring Italy and Germany visiting family and friends AND researching more FOR YOU! I'll be visiting northern Italy all the way down through Tuscany (and a stop in Monastero San Silvestro our lovely location for 2025!

Travel Planning TIPS for 2024-25!

Since the pandemic the has been booming and more people than ever are taking to the friendly skies, the serene seas, and hopping the pond! After my recent extensive travels here are a few I can share with you as you prepare for your upcoming trips. imho

1) Be Patient - with pretty much everyone. From the person taking your reservations with the airline, to the wait staff at a restaurant. Staffing issues are still a challenge, AROUND THE WORLD, not just in the states. Customer Service jobs are getting harder and harder to fill, so in this Xers world, try to "chill." HA!

2) Be prepared that costs will continue to rise. I don't believe it has to do so much with inflation as it does with supply and demand. From tour operators to pilots this industry has to pay its employees more now passing on the cost to the consumer

3) PLAN AHEAD! There are absolutely no more last-minute deals, NONE!! Along with my other advisors I urge clients to plan out as far in advance as they possibly can including up to 12 months out! This will help you with cost and availability. It might be your flight times change a bit or a seat assignment, BUT you will lock in on a price and a seat to your destination. The

4) Be flexible. Take a look at a few destinations instead of just one. We've all seen the Instagrams where it's REALITY versus INSTA it's very, very true. Maybe try a fringe destination like a few of my favorites, Croatia or Slovenia. They don't get near enough love and are easy to get to and are gorgeous and affordable.

5) Take a good look at the calendar. If you are able try to arrange your travel in a fringe season like spring or fall, it is better. Although it's always busy now there will be considerably less tourists than summer. If it's a European destination, check and see what is happening locally before you book the trip. For instance, next year is the 500 year jubilee for Vatican City in Rome, Italy will be nutso next summer. Maybe go early or later.

I hope these tips have helped, always check with a professional if you have questions or concerns, it doesn't have to be me 😉 just use someone familiar with the industry. With in the travel world, it's good to have a conversation with someone who is in the know.

Day one of the Douro Splendour began with setting sail from Porto at sunrise so incredibly beautiful. Then we made our way down the river with a stop at the Carrapatelo lock, the highest in Europe before heading to the Mateus Palace & Gardens.

Everyday there is a special you can order through the menu as well as the buffet and our lunch today was Franchesina - a sandwich from Portugal with layers of meat and cheese in a sandwich drenched in a spicy sauce 😳 yum

After a rest on board we made our way to Quinta de Pacheca - winery, restaurant and event center - with glorious views of the vineyards and surrounding olive trees we enjoyed hearing the origin story and of the woman who owned the business back in 1738, D. Mariana Pacheco Pereira

Wines specializing in port of course but now also reds, whites and rose’s.

Next we’re off to Castel Rodrigo and sail to Vega Térron
