Autrain River Cottages Rental Cottages on the Au Train River near Lake Superior, Pictured Rocks and the Hiawatha National Forest Who can forget about the water?

The cottages are located in a privately owned association on the shore of the AuTrain River. There is over 200 ft of river frontage that guests can use to relax, fish, swim or moor a boat. Below is a list of the amenities included in every cottage:

All beds have blankets, sheets and pillows. Bath and hand towels
Paper towels, napkins and toilet

Fully stocked Kitchens with pots, pans, cooking utensils, spices and dishes. Coffee pot, crock pot, toaster and microwave

Gas grill with propane included. AuTrain is only 12 miles from Munising and the gateway to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Also nearby is over 12 beautiful waterfalls within a 30 mile radius. Autrain is home to arguably the best beach on Lake Superior, with thousands of visitors each year, the sandy beach is very unique in that it provides swimming in Lake Superior and the Autrain River which is also sandy and considerably warmer than the Lake. The AuTrain River is a sandy and shallow river that winds through the Hiawatha National Forest into Lake Superior. Marquette is 35 miles to the west of Autrain and is the UP's largest city. There is many dining options, shopping and site seeing opportunities there as well. ATV/Snowmobile Trails are less than a mile away and can be accessed from the cottages. Hiking/Biking opportunities are even closer, and several designated trails are less than 10 miles away. Boating, fishing, kayaking, or whatever else you can think of, is available starting right in front of you. Upstream from the cottages is AuTrain Lake and can be reached by boat or kayak (boat and motor rentals available).

Trails are wicked, couldn't see 5' in front of you at times.... drifts were 4' deep. Be careful if you go out, lots of limbs down in the trail. Still fun though!!

We had a good day today! Plus we got the Olds back on the road, so we celebrated by taking a trip to Subway 5 min before they closed! Sorry!!😬
Oh, and Rico isn't wearing his Yak Shak shirt because he ate it... 🤣
