Did you know there are three separate monorail loops?

Epcot loop only goes from the Transportation and Ticketing Center (TTC) to Epcot and back.

The Express loop only goes from the TTC to Magic Kingdom and back.

The Resort loop goes in a circle from the TTC to the Poly to the Grand Floridian to Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary and back to the TTC.

That means if you’re staying at a monorail resort, you take the Resort monorail to the TTC, get off, walk down and back up, and then get on the Epcot monorail. And then do it in reverse to get home at the end of the day. That’s one reason why walking to the TTC from the Poly is such a huge time saver.

Throw Genie+ in the trash! Walt Disney World will be making changes beginning July 24. Here's what we know so far:

•Genie+ will now be called Lightning Lane Multi Pass (LLMP).
•Individual Lightning Lanes will be called Lightning Lane Single Pass (LLSP).
•You can pre-book 3 LLMPs. After you use one LLMP, you can book your next LLMP.
•You can pre-book up to 2 LLSPs, too.
•Prebooking will open at 7am Eastern time.
•If you are staying onsite, at Shades of Green, or at Swolphin, you will be able to purchase 7 days before the first day of your trip. You can purchase up to 14 days of your trip at the same time, limited by ticket length and length of stay.
•If you are offsite (including the Disney Springs area hotels), you can book 3 days in advance, one day at a time.
•You can purchase LLSP or LLMP or both. You don't have to buy one to buy the other (just like it works with G+ and ILL right now).
•You can pick your time for LLSP (just like ILL works now).
•You can only use LLSP & LLMP once per ride per guest per day (just like it is now).
•We will have tiers again at MK, Epcot, and HS. You can pick one tier 1 LLMP in advance and two tier 2 LLMPs in advance. As soon as you use an LLMP, you can pick another from either tier. So, if you use a tier 2 first, you could pick another tier 1.
•When you prebook LLMP selections, all three have to be in the same park even if you have park hopper tickets. Once you have used your first LLMP, you can book another one in any park if you have park hoppers.
•You can prebook LLSPs in separate parks if you have park hopper tickets.
•Pricing will vary by day and by park.
•Virtual queues will still be booked on the day of. They cannot be booked in advance.

DisneyLAND will also change the names of what they call things, but the way they work will stay the same way it works now.

There are tons of reasons to use a travel agent, but this is one of the most obvious. I have a trip booked for a Walt Disney World annual passholder. It’s just her hotel room. It’s something that she easily could’ve booked herself, but she trust me to help with her trips. She needed to make one little change. It happened to be something that can’t be done online. This should have been a five minute phone call, but it turned into almost an hour. Even if you don’t think you need help, I can save you time. What’s more valuable than that?!

New Walt Disney World discounts!

🍕Free dining for Disney Visa cardholders. You must pay $200 towards the reservation with a Disney Visa. You must stay at least 4 nights. You must have park hopper tickets at least 4 days long. Value and Moderate resorts will get the Quick Service Dining Plan, but can pay the difference to upgrade to the Disney Dining Plan. Deluxe resorts will get the Disney Dining Plan. Check in dates must fall between July 1 - July 31, September 1 - 7, or December 9 - 21.

✨ Or, book with a room discount up to 30% on the cost of your room. You must check in between July 8 - October 3.

☀️ Florida residents can save up to 30% off hotels most nights July 8 - October 3.

Walt Disney World is coming out with a new FREE DINING discount on April 9th. This is only for Disney Visa cardholders. It will include credit and debit cardholders. If you aren’t a cardholder and you think you’ll be interested, apply now. Ask a friend for a referral link.

The offer will be for “select” dates in July, September, and December (2024). We don’t know the exact dates yet.

You have to stay at least 4 nights. You can stay up to 14 nights.

You have to have at least 4 day park hopper tickets. You can have longer. You can have Park Hopper Plus if you want to add water parks.

Those are all the details we know for now. I’ll keep you posted when we know more (probably on April 9).

✨Walt Disney World ticket discounts✨

☀️4-day, 4-park Magic ticket - This is the same ticket offer we had last summer. You can visit each park one day. You cannot visit the same park on two separate days. You cannot park hop. Ticket start date must fall between April 2 - September 22. Tickets expire 7 days after first use even if you don’t use all four days. Total price after tax starts at roughly $422 per person.

☀️3-day, 3-park ticket - This ticket is only good for one day each at Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom. You cannot go to Magic Kingdom. You cannot park hop. You cannot go to the same park in two different days. Ticket start date must fall between April 2 - September 24. Tickets expire 5 days after first use even if you haven’t used all three days. Total price after tax starts at roughly $285 per person.

☀️Florida resident Discovery tickets - 3 or 4 day ticket options are available. These can be used any days from April 2 - September 28, based on park pass reservation availability. They don’t have to be used on consecutive days. You can add park hopper to these tickets. These must be purchased with a credit/debit card with a Florida address and you must show proof of Florida residency for everyone over 17 years old before you enter the park the first time.

☀️For all ticket purchases, the full amount must be paid at time of purchase. Tickets are nonrefundable, but you can change dates or use ticket price toward other tickets.

New Walt Disney World ticket offer! This one is a little different, so pay close attention to the details.

✨ The tickets are only valid for use June 1 - September 29.

✨ The tickets expire 7 days after the first day you use them or September 29. Whichever comes FIRST. So, if you used the first day on June 2, they would expire June 9.

✨ They only come as 4 day tickets. No option to add or remove days.

✨ You can only go to each park on one day. That means one day at Magic Kingdom, one day at Epcot, one day at Hollywood Studios, and one day at Animal Kingdom. You CANNOT skip Animal Kingdom and do a second day at Magic Kingdom.

✨ You CAN leave the park and return to the same park on the same day. You can’t hop to a different park or double up days, but you aren’t held hostage all day long once you enter a park.

✨ You cannot use the tickets July 1 - 4 or September 1 - 4. Basically, 4th of July and Labor Day trips are excluded.

✨ You do NOT have to make park pass reservations with these tickets. (I can’t wait to see how Disney handles virtual queues without park pass reservations.)

2024 will open for booking on May 31.

Dining plans are coming back in 2024!!

Park pass reservations are going away in 2024!! This is only for date based tickets so APs will still have to reserve something. APs will have “good to go” days that do not require a reservation.

Early morning entry will continue through 2024 for on-site guests.
✨
Extended evening hours will continue through 2024 for Deluxe guests.
✨
Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes will get easier in 2024 (but no news on what that means).
✨
Deluxe resort categories are changing. This isn’t a huge deal, but it will make things more uniform from resort to resort. It will be Resort view, Water view, or Theme Park view.
✨
Ft Wilderness campsites no longer pay commission for 2024 stays. This is an interesting change that probably reflects issues with the behavior of certain agencies in the past. Agents can still book them for you (especially if you’re booking it with tickets), but maybe this will make it easier to get reservations.

The party starts at 7pm, but you can enter Magic Kingdom with just a party ticket starting at 4pm.

Magic Kingdom will close to people without party tickets at 6pm. There will not be fireworks for non-party guests.
