I've been getting numerous amount of questions regarding this situation. Just FYI, you will only get a REFUND if the airlines cancels your flight on their end. If you cancel YOUR FLIGHT before your trip, all airlines will give you future credit towards your flight only.

This is why it is very important to buy travel protection/insurance when you travel. Refunds would be guaranteed.

Federal officials on Friday ordered airlines to reimburse customers for canceled flights, saying a growing number of passengers are complaining amid the coronavirus pandemic that airlines…

HAWAII MANDATES 14-DAY QUARANTINE FOR ALL ARRIVALS INTO STATE EFFECTIVE MARCH 26

HONOLULU — Effective March 26 at 12:01 a.m., Hawaii Governor David Ige is mandating all visitors arriving in the Hawaiian Islands to self-quarantine for 14 days. The mandate, which is the first such action in the nation, applies to all arrivals at state airports from the continental U.S. and international destinations and extends to other private and commercial aircrafts.

This mandate follows Governor Ige's request on March 17 that all travelers suspend their travel to Hawaii for 30 days. He also requested the closure of all bars, clubs, theaters, entertainment centers and visitor attractions across the state. Restaurants were also asked to close or provide drive-thru, take out, pick-up or delivery. The Hawaii State Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) also closed all Hawaii state parks, in addition to commercial ocean and trail tours on March 20.

"Hawaii has a long-standing tradition of welcoming visitors from around the world," said John Monahan, president and CEO of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB). "Like other destinations around the globe, the health and well-being of our visitors and visitor industry employees, ohana (families), our communities, health care professionals and healthcare system is our primary focus at this time."

Monahan added "We are urging visitors to postpone their trips to Hawaii to give us the opportunity to curtail the impacts of COVID-19 in our communities and be better prepared to welcome travelers back to the islands when the time is right. We extend our mahalo (thanks) to everyone for their understanding during these challenging times."

All visitors arriving through Hawaii's airports will be required to complete a Hawaii Department of Agriculture form that will be distributed onboard their flight. They will retain the form when disembarking the aircraft. Upon arrival, they will go through a checkpoint and present the completed form with a valid identification. Checkpoint staff will validate the form and issue documentation that certifies they cleared the checkpoint. The form also includes information on the mandatory requirements for the 14-day quarantine along with penalties. Failure to follow this order is a misdemeanor and punishable by a maximum fine of $5,000, or imprisonment of not more than one year, or both. Enforcement will be handled by each of Hawaii’s four counties.

A SITUATION UPDATE

Dear Friends of Thailand

We hope this email finds you well and safe.

We would like to provide you with travel regulations that were just released by the Government of Thailand.

In the event that persons wish to travel to Thailand during this time, the following applies:

The US is included among countries listed as ongoing local transmission areas. France, Spain, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden, Great Britain, Japan, and Germany are also included on that list.

Effective March 20, 2020, at the airport of departure, US travelers must present the following documents to the airline at check-in.

Health certificate certifying that the passengers pose no risk of being infected by the Coronavirus Disease (COVID–19). The health certificate must be issued no more than 72 hours prior to the date of travel.

Insurance that shows minimum medical coverage in Thailand of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), in the amount not less than 100,000 USD.

In addition, the following applies:

Travelers arriving in Thailand must complete the health form (T.8 form) accurately and truthfully (or the AOT Airports Application).

Travelers with a fever and at least one of the following symptoms: runny nose, sore throat, and difficulty breathing must notify disease control officers at the quarantine office immediately upon arrival in Thailand.

All travelers will pass a fever screening through a thermal scan. Travelers who meet the criteria of surveillance will be referred to a designated hospital.

It is recommended that all travelers self-monitor (supervision without quarantine) at their hotel or place of stay for no less than 14 days and comply with recommendations to prevent infection and community spread.

Hotel/Place of Stay must match the information which was given on the T8 form.

It is recommended that all travelers adhere to social distancing recommendations

If travelers exhibit clinical symptoms, they are required to report to the disease control officers within 3 hours. Control officers will provide guidelines for leaving the place of stay when necessary.

At this time, to prevent community spread, all bars, restaurants, entertainment venues, massage parlors, across the country, are temporary closed.

Dear Friends of Thailand

Since the beginning of 2020, the COVID19 corona virus has brought panic throughout the world. It has brought stress, dividing us, and fostering fear among people. The People of Thailand are ready to help spread cheer and offer support in fighting the discouragement that Coronavirus has recently spread. We suggest that you do your best to be guided by the facts.

In light of the coronavirus worldwide pandemic, which is escalating, we would like to advise US Travelers of the following:

1. First, we strongly advise that US travelers be guided by US state and federal government guidelines and travel restrictions imposed due to the pandemic

2. For those who are booked to travel to Thailand in the coming weeks and months, we strongly advise that you consult directly with the appropriate airline, tour operator, online travel agency, hotel etc. with regard to postponement, cancelation and refund policies

3. Persons traveling from the US to Thailand do not require a visa to enter

4. Visitors arriving into Thailand from the US will be subject to quarantine

5. For those arriving and showing symptoms, you will be placed into government provided quarantine for 14 days or more. Medical expenses will be at the travelers own expense

6. For those arriving without any symptoms, you will also be required to self-monitoring at your hotel.

7. All arrivals and transit passengers are required to fill the T 8 form and present to Disease Control Officers on arrival

WHAT IS A T 8 FORM

The Airports of Thailand (AOT) has launched an application to enable travelers arriving from the Disease Infected Zones to submit the T8 form as required by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).

All travelers from the Disease Infected Zones must complete the T8 form, via the AOT application or on paper, and submit it to the communicable disease control officials at the control post at the airport of disembarkation.

After downloading the AOT application, travelers are required to complete the T8 with their personal information including name, nationality, passport number, active mobile phone number and active e-mail address. The data will be stored for 14 days from the arrival date. This is to allow Thai health officials to contact the travelers in case of an emergency, e.g., passengers seated in close vicinity are tested positive for COVID-19.

This requirement is in line with the CAAT’s “Practical Guidelines for the Air Operators Relating to the Services to be Provided in the Territories outside Thailand Defined as Disease Infected Zones of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Outbreak,” issued on 8 March, 2020. On 5 March, 2020

In addition, Thailand’s Ministry of Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has put into effect the suspension of Visa on Arrival (VoA) for nationals of 19 countries and territories which were previously eligible. These countries are Bulgaria, Bhutan, China, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Fiji, Georgia, India, Kazakhstan, Malta, Mexico, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, and Vanuatu. Visa exemptions will also be canceled for nationals from South Korea, Italy and Hong Kong. This will remain in effect until September 30th, 2020.

You found it cheaper 🤔🤔
Cheap Travel Can be a Disaster 🤦🏽‍♀️
I put Value in my bookings and take Time to do the research to avoid all the things listed below ....

Long Layovers
Multiple Connecting Flights
Missing Luggage (Uninsured)

1,000 miles from closest airport (you dont know many places have 2 or more airports 😮)

Not to mention you might not have know that although your passport expires a month after the actual date of the trip they most like will NOT let you fly into the country!

I could list so much more.... pays to have personalized service from a Certified Travel Agent & its Free....unless of course you want multiple quotes to compare to your "cheap" trip 🤦🏽‍♀️
