Had some great VJC crew to help out with the balloon at Nascarvival at the Victory Junction Camp. These three were hard working, fun and they really enjoy being councelors at VJC. We thank them for their dedication.

We would like to thank the members of our hometown crew for volunteering their time to bring smiles to VJC campers. Thanks to: Charles, John, Cory, Suzanne, George and the greatest support person a pilot could ever ask for, Jean.

And, Randy got right into the festivities in a borrowed blue tutu.

HELP ON A ***LONG SHOT***
On Monday, May 13 we were flying in the West Johnston Fire District area. After we packed up just off of Ridge Rd, we left to return home and our red and black equipment caddy was left on the tongue of the trailer.

Guess what? It fell off on our return trip. We landed near the intersection of Johnston County Rd and Ridge Rd and packed up and started home about 7:45 AM. On the trip home, we traveled Ridge Rd., Massengill Pond Road, Old Fairground Rd, Bendon-Hardee Rd, Pleasant Hill Church Rd and Tarheel Rd.

We didn't miss the items until we went to VA to fly and it was not in its place.

If you or you know who found it, we appreciate it if we could get it back. No matter the condition.

There were a couple of sentimental items in the bag.

It was our distinct pleasure to have Mike and Amanda of the Q Morning Crew as passengers this morning. This was a promotional flight for WQDR and the First Fruit Farm Memorial Balloon Festival.

I admire the enthusiasm these two exemplified during our time together. Have to give a shout-out to the folks behind the scene at the studio.

Trust me, piloting a balloon while a live broadcast is being conducted does present a few challenges. However, Mike's and Amanda's attitude and professionalism made it fun and enjoyable.
