How my own amazing adventures turned into a career
I have had a desire to see the world ever since I was a little girl. I read the book Heidi and watched Sound of Music and dreamed of living in the Alps. In high school I had the opportunity to go to Germany with my school class and it changed my life. I decided I needed more so I became a German teacher. This allowed me to bring over 1,000 people to Europe to experience the wonder and joy that I feel every time I go. I have traveled extensively to many other places as far away as China and New Zealand as well as many US and Central American locations. Whenever I even drive past the airport my heart starts to beat faster and I think about where I could go next. After retiring from teaching this summer I found that my second career as a travel agent would be a perfect fit. I’ve helped people plan trips since I can remember. It is something I’m so comfortable with and I love being able to help ease people’s stress and bring them ideas for places they may not have thought of.
