Our goals are to take care of your trees, and get you into the canopy. We salvage urban timber and turn it into treehouse rentals in the Red River Gorge.

The Canopy Crew is dedicated to life in the trees. We offer one of a kind treehouse rentals in The Red River Gorge, Kentucky; and we have a tree service in Cincinnati, Ohio. We are a team of arborists, climbers, carpenters, and designers. We take the wood we salvage from our tree service and mill it into usable lumber to build our treehouses. Our treehouse ideas are born out of real life experienc

e from living in the trees (It's hard not to think of additions when we're sitting on the front porch 50 ft up). Each treehouse is a unique design that offers a new way to live in the forest. We spend a ton of time and energy finding the newest, most sustainable building techniques that put as little stress on the surrounding environment as possible. Our company mission is to get to know the trees in our lives, care for them, and share their canopies with you.

If you are looking for an adventure, or the most romantic bedroom the Gorge has to offer, then you will want to check this treehouse out. The Observatory tree house is not for everyone, but it might be the most magical slumber you will ever sleep (seriously). This off the grid (and very high off of the ground) arboreal abode boasts three separate rooms connected by floating walkways and ships ladders. The glass bedroom is designed for star gazing, and sits 50 feet above the Gorge floor. It looks out over the Red River Valley and is home to a high-powered telescope, you can see further into the Cosmos than any other stay in the Gorge!

Climb Aboard ✨🏴‍☠️

Grey Dreamer and Sky Dancer are both suspended or perched on the upper sandstone cliffs that the gorge is famous for. Each vessel has its own private master bedroom up high, and a second bed, bath, and kitchen below in the Captain’s Quarters. The entire site has pulled architectural inspiration from old wooden hand-hewn ships. Both the wood creations we’ve crafted and landscape really need to be seen in person to capture the magic of this place designed to help your imagination run wild! The lower hull of the Captain’s Quarters is mounted to a massive boulder and includes a lounge net, front deck, and roof deck. Each unit includes heat, air conditioning, electricity, and full indoor plumbing!

The Sylvan Float ✨

Sylvan, means forest, and this tree house floats through the red river gorge not unlike a ship sails across the sea. Designed for two, the Sylvan Float is located in the heart of the geological area five minutes from the grey’s arch trail head. A cozy, heated house, with peaceful views will ensure your comfort while getting away from the stresses left on the ground. You can stay in this tree house with your loved ones and be totally off the grid. Features include gas heat and stove, dish washing station, composting toilet, Lofted bedroom, wrap around deck, and premium climbing and hiking right down the trail.
