We had dinner tonight at Butch’s Steak and Seafood! This restaurant is named after the founder of Sandals Resorts, Gordon “Butch” Stewart and is found at select Sandals Resorts.

This is the only restaurant at this resort that requires reservations, and they are very hard to get. We weren’t sure we would get to go, but our amazing butler was able to get dinner for us tonight! (If you book a butler room, they do sometimes have a few reservations set aside just for butler guests!).

I had Caesar salad, steak, baked potato and W***y Wonka crème brûlée (10/10!). Aaron had pork belly for the appetizer, steak and lemon poppy shortbread. We also shared crab and scallop balls.

HIGHLY recommend dining here if you get a chance!

POV: Your room service breakfast in bed arrives, you pour yourself a cup to Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee and head out to the balcony to enjoy it. Believe it or not, it is NOT too late to plan a Disney vacation for this summer!

There are always so many fun activities to go onboard Disney Cruise Line if you choose to stay onboard at a port or have a day at sea.

One of my favorites is the Learn to Draw session. Throughout the cruise, you can draw different characters like Captain Hook, Hei-Hei, Groot, BB-8 and more (varies by sailing and which cast member is hosting).

✨Review from the opening day of Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point on the island of Eleuthera, Bahamas✨

This morning, pulled into port around 8am this morning and watched the ship dock and the crew members disembark the ship. They spent a couple hours getting ready, and we were cleared to disembark around 10:30am.

If you have read anything today about this island, it is most likely about the bridge from the ship to the island. Yes…it’s long. I’ve heard it’s between 1/2 and 3/4 of a mile long (depending who you talk to). Let me say that I am the first to not be happy about a long walk and heat, but it was much faster than I thought it would be (10ish minutes). There were golf carts taking guests back to the ship, so it appears that assistance is available if requested/needed/you catch the golf carts.

We headed straight to the gift shop, Disney T’ings, to pick up a few souvenirs. Afterwards, we found a beach chair and headed for the water.

This water…wow. I’ve been all over the Caribbean and this is the 5th island in the Bahamas I’ve visited. This is hands down the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen. I took so many pictures, and none of them do the beach justice. We loved how far the beach stretches, the sand was packed down so that it was easier to walk on, and there were plenty of chairs and umbrellas available. The water is very calm and almost like swimming in a giant pool.

Lunch was included at one of the two dining areas, and there was a choice of hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, baked chicken, ribs, fish, chicken and rice bowls, several sides, salads and more. Soft drinks and soft serve ice cream are also included. Lunch is served from 12pm-2pm.

After lunch, we took more photos, swam and relaxed for a bit before heading back to the ship.

A few thoughts:

✨Once you are on the island from the bridge, you will see a small gift shop, a drink stop, restrooms and the family cabanas. The main part of the island is accessed by tram (the tram stop is here as well). Trams run continuously and there are plenty of them. The tram ride from there to the main part of the island is roughly 10 minutes (I heard it’s a mile and a half). Be sure to listen to the narration, as it tells the stories of some of the local characters you will see statues of on the island.

✨Kids splash pad area was phenomenal. Slides, water buckets, and more. I loved that it is all on land and beside the beach area. It is nice to see the water slides on land vs in an area you have to swim out to at Castaway Cay.

✨The Junkanoo Celebration - I didn’t watch it but loved hearing the music from the beach. This happened twice while we were there.

✨In my honest opinion, it is 1748474884% better than Castaway Cay. I will always choose to come here over Castaway.

Overall - this is an AMAZING addition to Disney Cruise Line. I am already trying to figure out when I can come back here!

We are currently waiting for the all clear to be able to get off the ship and head to the island! The crews are currently working to get familiar with it (it’s their first time here as well!) before they allow guests to disembark.

I can’t wait to show you more, and I’m so excited to be here on this historic day!

Something I have never done in Disney Cruise Line - experience the Rainforest Room in the Senses Spa!

We purchased a length of sail pass to spend time there relaxing in the heated lounge chairs, aromatic steam room, specialty showers and mild steam room.

This is just one of the adult only spaces on the ship to enjoy!

Out of office! And going on another cruise 🤣

I am heading to Fort Lauderdale tonight and sailing tomorrow on the Disney Magic!

While I was just on this ship 5 weeks ago (and it is my favorite!), this trip will be totally different! We are visiting the BRAND NEW island this Friday, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point! We will be the very first ship to ever visit this island! 🥳🥳

This will be my first Disney cruise without kids, so we are planning to spend some time in the adult only spaces onboard the ship and will spend Saturday enjoying the Rainforest Room in the spa while the ship is in Nassau!

I cannot wait to share more!

Ever wondered about taking babies to Disney? Here is your sign to take the trip! My long time friend a client Emily sent me this video of her babies from their trip earlier this year. They were both under 2 in this video and made some of the sweetest memories they will cherish forever! And don’t forget - kids are FREE before their 3rd birthday! nd

Pro tip: If there is a reservation you aren’t able to find ahead of time, check the My Disney Experience app! I just checked to see what I could find for a group of 4 this morning, and all of these options came up! Character meals? Ohana, Topolino’s Terrace, Garden Grill, Hollywood and Vine all had availability this morning!

Imagine sitting on your balcony and watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks! 😍😍😍 Last year, my friend and I spent Mother’s Day at Walt Disney World and we stayed in a Theme Park view room at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. It was a Bucket list room for sure, and my favorite room I have ever stayed in at Walt Disney World! Want to stay in your OWN bucket list room? I can help make that happen!

As many times I have visited Disney destinations, the ✨magic✨ still continues to amaze me. Last summer, my family took a trip to Disneyland Resort. We saw ahead of time that there was a Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers meet and greet at Disney’s California Adventure. My son is a huge fan, and he dressed for the occasion in Dale’s shirt. We made it to the line, and the cast member said the meet and greet was closed. She noticed Crosby’s shirt and said “actually - wait right there.” Once Chip and Dale were finished with their meet and greet, they came over to him and were super excited to see his shirt. They grabbed his hand (and Emerson’s) and took them on a walk around Hollywood Land. Then, they took them to the side and had their own personal meet and greet with my kids. 🥹 This is just one of the things that makes Disney so special and magical, and gives us special memories we will never forget. ❤️
