Have had the cabin for 5 years and finally made time this trip for the Murphy River Walk.
Unbelievable at the beauty.
May we suggest making this a priority if you have upcoming reservations at Big Bear Lodge.

We have some very special guests at the cabin this week and they always take the best pictures.
This trip they focused on our sweet little trout pond.
The fish babies are getting so big 🐠🐠
The Dogwood tree planted in honor of Papa who passed away in October 2023 has it's first bloom 🌸🌸🌸

If you've ever been to Murphy NC when this place was open... You know the pure delight when you realize it's that time of year for them to re-open.
It's happened!
It's time!
They're open!
And if you are on our upcoming guest list...
May we suggest a great pairing of lunch directly across the street at Burger Boy then a Sweet treat at this crowning jewel 😁😁😁
If you want to live recklessly...
Maybe a second visit after dinner too!
We may or may not have made two trips in the same day 😜

We get compliments all the time from our new and returning guests, telling us how clean Big Bear Lodge is when they arrive.
Music to our ears!!!
We wanted to introduce you to the cleaning "angel" responsible for keeping our little piece of paradise,
sparkling and shiny 😁
We are so thankful for Bridget, her work ethic and sense of responsibility. She is very conscientious about the little things and goes above and beyond what is expected taking pride in her work.
She's a busy mom with young children and a husband and continues to be flexible with our crazy cabin schedule as well as some others that she takes care of.
Always a pleasant and positive attitude and a cheerful smile.
Next time you visit our peaceful place and notice how clean it is...

Happy Anniversary to us!
Five years ago today we closed on our cozy little cabin in the woods and Big Bear Lodge was founded.
We are so very thankful to all of our incredible guests for believing in and staying with us.
