Lets start a new “thing”…. First meals in destination? 😁 It’s 11:00 pm in Warsaw and after a LONG journey this Caesar salad helped immensely! Looks very different (especially with the bacon - yum!) but the bread chips (?) were super tasty. And there is a very good reason I only eat bread in Europe. This was absolutely the best bread and butter ever. 😁😁😁 yay Poland!

When Canaletto was invited to paint Warsaw by Poland’s last king, no one could have known that the city would nearly be completely razed by Hi**er in 1944. With nearly 85% of the city destroyed, the work of this one artist became the map to restore some of what was lost, which now offers contrast to the neighboring “modern socialist” architecture.

Did you know... Amsterdam has over 1200 bridges? It's no wonder, with a third of the Netherlands below sea level. It might take a while to see all those bridges, but if you'd like to try, there are 165 canals to navigate in your quest! Luckily many are lit up at night, and if you're in the right spot, you can see as many as 15 bridges at once! Pretty nice engineering! Now, what do you think of those tulips in the foreground??? :)
