We're excited about Balloons in the Islands presented by Clayton Marina Sales & Service and FMI Sand and Gravel this weekend!

The event kicks off Friday, July 26th, 7pm at Coyote Moon Vineyards, 17371 East Line Rd, Clayton, NY 13624. Enjoy a nice evening with music by Hayden McBath & Jacob Martin and a fantastic Hot Air Balloon Glow, sponsored by The Cal Shop and powered by propane from Glider Oil, Co., where the hot air balloons will light up, creating a glow against the dark evening sky (approx. 8:45pm-9pm). You’re welcome to bring blankets or chairs for viewing. Coyote Moon will be serving wine and their new hard cider, while Christian and the Coyote Tacos & Tings will be offering delicious food. FREE ADMISSION!

Saturday, July 27th, the event moves to Zenda Farms Preserve, 38973 Zenda Rd, Clayton, NY 13624, courtesy of the Thousand Islands Land Trust. Starting at 2pm, 12 vendors will be on display and children can enjoy a bounce house from 2pm-6pm. There will be live music by Dave Parker from 3pm-5pm.

Zenda Farms Preserve's expert sheepdogs will showcase their incredible training and shepherding skills. Enjoy hands-on, interactive experiences with adorable lambs, playful ducks, and friendly chickens – fun for all ages!

At approximately 4:30pm, tethered balloon rides from Above All Balloon Rides - Hudson Valley Balloon Rides will be available on a first come, first served basis. The cost is $20/pp and is weather (wind) dependent.

The event concludes at approximately 7pm, where you can see the balloons being inflated and eventually lifting off, taking passengers on a scenic flight over the 1000 Islands Region. Sorry, all private rides have been booked for the weekend.

SORRY, NO DOGS PERMITTED. We love pets too, but they can be frightened by the loud pitch of the balloon burners. This applies to both locations. Also, please, NO SMOKING permitted anywhere on the Zenda Farms Preserve property.

The Antique Boat Museum has postponed their Car Show from tomorrow, Saturday June 29, to SUNDAY, June 30th!

ATTENTION: The Antique Boat Museum is shifting gears and moving the 1000 Islands Concours d’Elegance car show to Sunday, June 30th at 9am!

Why the change? Well, Mother Nature's got some plans, and we've got to keep those stunning cars and our fabulous guests safe from impending weather.

The Clayton Chamber of Commerce's July 3rd Fireworks Display, presented by The Phinney Charitable Foundation, take place Wednesday at approximately 9:45pm. The display will be set off from Dorr marine and excavation Inc.'s barges in front of Riverside Drive.

A waterfront concert in Frink Park will feature Hot Kogan from 7:30pm-9:45pm.

Hot Air Balloons Set to Launch Over the 1000 Islands Region July 26–27, 2024

Clayton-1000 Islands, New York: The Clayton Chamber of Commerce and presenting sponsors, Clayton Marina Sales & Service and FMI Sand and Gravel, are pleased to announce Clayton’s newest event, Balloons in the Islands. Above All Balloon Rides - Hudson Valley Balloon Rides will feature five hot air balloons powered by Glider Oil Co., Inc. This family-friendly event is free, with select activities available for an additional charge.

Balloons in the Islands will kick off Friday at Coyote Moon Vineyards from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday’s activities include a Balloon Glow, sponsored by The Cal Shop, Inc., live music, food, and, of course, Coyote Moon Vineyards wine. Attendees are welcome to bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the vibrant colors of hot air balloons at dusk.

On Saturday, the event moves to Zenda Farms Preserve Clayton from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., courtesy of the Thousand Islands Land Trust. Planned activities will include vendors, food trucks, music, and meeting the pilots. The Zenda Farms Preserve will also have the historic dairy barn and hay barn open for the public to explore. Watch in awe as expert sheepdogs showcase their incredible training and shepherding skills. Enjoy hands-on, interactive experiences with adorable lambs, playful ducks, and friendly chickens - fun for all ages! At approximately 4:30 p.m., tethered hot-air balloon rides will be available for $20 per person. For those seeking a truly unforgettable experience, sunrise and sunset hot-air balloon rides will be available for purchase on Saturday and Sunday for $300 per person. We have a busy week(end) planned in Clayton! On Thursday we will hold the Clayton, NY Farmer's Market from 10am-4pm in Circle Park on Mary Street. Thursday at 5pm we will be hosting a special joint Business After Hours / Business With A Twist at the Antique Boat Museum with the Greater Watertown North Country Chamber of Commerce. 1000 Islands River Pride will be hosting events Wednesday-Sunday at various locations. Seaway Splash - Ultimate Air Dogs will take place Friday - Sunday at the Frink Park Dock and the Antique Boat Museum will host the 1000 Islands Concours d’Elegance on Saturday (Rain Date Sunday)
