We are a boutique luxury travel agency that designs and arranges experiential itineraries which reflect our clients' interests, budgets and tastes. Celestielle is an unusual agency in the sense that we never propose travel to destinations and hotels that we haven't personally visited and loved. We continually seek out that which is unavailable to the public and which would be of value to our clien

Our Story

Celestielle is two sister travel agencies (based in Los Angeles and New Zealand) specializing in experiential bespoke luxury travel worldwide. While we lean towards “luxury,” we also love the adventurous, the exotic, and off-the-beaten-path. Our company celebrated its fifteenth anniversary in May 2020, and was the first U.S.-based agency to be invited to join the Paris-based luxury consortium Traveller Made. Celestielle’s simple, unique business model is to propose to clients only those destinations and properties which its managing partners, Doug Easton and John Ziegler, have personally visited and loved. To achieve this, they run their company from the road, visiting more than 120 hotels per year for a minimum of two nights each. In 2019, they were only at home for 57 days. The agency also distinguishes itself by producing short videos of favorite properties. There are more than 300 of these videos available for viewing on its YouTube channel (Celestielle). These videos have become the company’s best sales tool, and we encourage you to take a look for yourself . Doug Easton was named a top honeymoon specialist in Travel + Leisure’s A-List of the World’s Top Travel Advisors, and has been voted top Travel Designer for Destination Knowledge by the members of Traveller Made.
