Yesterday I was viewing a beautiful sky with the strange shaped cloud. Then I saw the jet headed toward the cloud. I could not resist taking the photo.
Tonight I noticed a little white spot to the right of the jet. Apparently this wasn’t visible to my naked eye.
TSF is a great place to watch stars, planes, satellites, meteors and whatever I captured in this photo.

Today February 26 we are getting a little winter weather. Kinda nice to look at.

We have had several spring like days. Absolutely beautiful weather. Can’t beat this weather.
Our latest ice storm caused a few trees to fail. Now I’m in the process of cleaning up the damaged trees. It’s a lot of hard work that I thoroughly enjoy.
Now we are under a winter weather warning for snow with wind. Hoping that damage is minimal.

A beautiful day in February. The Witch Hazel has started its annual bloom. Not sure why it always blooms out this time of the year.
Getting a little closer on our relocated fire pit area. A few more days to go.

About 9 days without power or internet. Kept the place from freezing with wood stove and generator.
Happy that the red dogwood tree survived.

A nasty ice storm has arrived at Tree Stump Farm. The power went out about 13 hours ago. I don’t see much tree damage here but at our residence in Rainbow you could hear trees breaking all day.

My hike around the farm had rewards today. There are lots of mushrooms popping up. A few are edible. I love the chanterelles.
They really shrink down though.

We are into the fall season and this rose plant just doesn’t care or want to give up. This time of the year is always awesome.

Tree Stump Farm is at Level 1 now. Restrictions to some of our local attractions have been lifted. The weather has been beautiful.

Officials reduced the closure area for the LOOKOUT FIRE on Sept. 7, 2023. Sites that remain closed include Blue Pool, Sahalie Falls, and the McKenzie River Trail and trailheads. Although located inside the closure area, Clear Lake Day Use and Resort and Lost Prairie Group Campground remain open. Many popular sites along Highway 242, including Proxy Falls and Obsidian Trailhead, remain inaccessible due to a temporary road closure by the Oregon Department of Transportation even though they are no longer inside the closure area.
