In General, Canada is open for travel despite the current wildfire situation in Jasper, Alberta.
At this time, you will be able to travel, however, in some cases, you may have to be prepared to make adjustments to your travel routes.

As Road closures can come into effect or be lifted on short notice, travellers are advised to frequently check highway updates and select alternative travel routes if needed.

Travellers are also encouraged to download and allow notifications from *Alertable*: an emergency notification app with customizable settings to receive the latest local alerts, such as road closures and evacuation information, straight to your mobile device.

Generic - Evacuees travelling from the Municipality of Jasper and Jasper National Park should continue on Highway 16 through B.C. and select a route back to Alberta. Designated Reception Centres are opening in Grande Prairie and in Calgary. Stop and rest as needed. More information will be provided....
