From magic shots, to lightsaber photos, family pictures, ride photos, characters, other special attractions, and memories like our gender reveal the Walt Disney World PhotoPass photographers were there documenting our adventures!

My daughter loved finding the photographers for magic shots and loved hamming it up for her fun pictures and seeing the Magic characters that showed up in her pictures on my phone later.

1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Resort is an easy monorail ride from the Magic Kingdom (or we even rode the monorail from Epcot) and has one of our favorite character breakfasts so far. Great food, precious wishing Star theming, and fun variety of characters… and you do not have to have a park ticket to dine here so it’s perfect for a relaxing resort day or for breakfast the day you check out or even dinner the day you check in!

Don’t let rainy days scare you away from the parks. It’s only 82 this morning, misty/drizzly, with a cool breeze in the middle of July. We had a big downpour that lasted a few minutes and now the weather is more pleasant than expected for July!

There have also been virtually no lines for us this morning, we walked onto most rides without lightning lanes before lunch!

For me I saw memories from Walt Disney World (for our first gender reveal), Paris, Honolulu, Kauai, and Las Vegas…

Queue Lines part 3. Dumbo in the Magic Kingdom. If you wait in the regular queue line for Dumbo, when it gets to be more than a few minutes long they open the play area inside the tent. So you wait in a short queue line, check in at the tent and receive a buzzer like at a restaurant, and then play on the adorably themed indoor play area until your buzzer goes off. When you are alerted, you bring the buzzer back to the podium and only have one more very short wait till you board the Dumbo ride! My 4-year-old loves these free play times nearly as much as the ride so both together is great! Plus, it wasn’t a battle leaving the play area as it could normally be because she knew that means we get to ride!

A lot of people seem to think EPCOT at Walt Disney World is not geared to kids. Personally, we spent 2 park days there with our 4 year old and loved it! It has less rides than Magic Kingdom but our daughter rode most of them including Guardians of the Galaxy. EPCOT also has several fun scavenger hunts geared to kids but are fun for all ages.

Pictured are:
1. The FREE sticker book scavenger hunt from the aquarium at EPCOT. These are on a stand in the center of the first floor near the stairs and escalator.

2. The 11 countries in the World Showcase each have a station inside called KIDCOT where they can pickup a FREE postcard/sticker (that can be colored on the back). Most countries have someone from that country at the station for children to interact with and learn how to say “hello” in their language as well. Each KIDCOT station is also a great place for a quick quiet coloring break in the shade as well for those warmer days. Collect all 11 cards (any order) and you get a bonus card at your last stop!

Not pictured are the $9.99 seasonal scavenger hunts you can purchase as well. Right now one is a Flower and Garden Festival theme and the other is an Easter Egg hunt. Both of the paid hunts allow you to trade your sticker sheet completed for a prize at the end!

Why travel with young kids when they likely won’t remember it?

While we hope B does gain some wonderful core memories on our travels, that’s not necessarily always the goal.

Traveling with children can:

1. Promote family bonding. We remember to enjoy time together and share memories.

2. Build confidence and independence.

3. Increase flexibility, adaptability, and tolerance for discomfort.

4. Travel gets us out of our routine and exposes brains to new languages, vocabulary, cultures, food, and experiences.

Queue Lines Part 2. Playing with interactive shadows in the regular queue line for Peter Pan’s Flight. The shadow butterflies would sometimes land on your hand and you could “ring” the shadow bells with your hand’s shadow.

This ride regularly gets long lines of an hour or more so I usually recommend getting a Lightning Lane if it’s on your must-do list but we rope dropped it in order to see the interactive queue line that winds through John, Michael, and Wendy’s bedroom.

Queue lines. Part 1. Did you know that many of Disney’s queue lines include interactive features for kids and kids at heart to pass the time while waiting? Some are hands-on play like these photos of the queue line for the ride “The Many Adventures of Winne-The-Pooh”. Others such as “Soarin’” are on the Play Disney Parks app.

B kept asking to ride this multiple times because she wanted to play in the queue line and the wait wasn’t long enough for her liking.

Perks to a Walt Disney World Deluxe Resort… dinner at an amazing resort restaurant with a view of the castle/park at 5, swimming until 8:00, refilling our resort mugs, bathing, and in our jammie’s by 8:30 watching Magic Kingdom fireworks from our balcony. In bed with lights out before most of the crowds got on the buses to leave the park that night. Early that next morning we don’t have a long line at security before boarding the monorail because it picks us up at our resort entrance. 🏰😍

Rode Tron for the first time today and saw the sign for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. I love that there is always something new to do at Walt Disney World!

Did you know that in addition to littles getting Princess makeovers at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, all ages can get haircuts (complete with pixie dust) at the Main Street Barber Shop. They even have a special option for 1st Haircuts. 💇‍♀️ 🏰
