Requiem For Moon River Brewing:

Good Bye Old Friend Moon River Brewing. Yes and with one days notice to everyone, their last day was yesterday! For over 15 years, Moon River was the starting point of our tour. We hear that The Beer Garden will now morph into a 7 story Apt/Condo Building. The main bar and restaurant's future is unknown at this time. Not sure if we'll be able to eventually regain access, but, as in life and Savannah, Everything Must Change. Sad. We'll keep you updated as we learn more.

Our Haunted Pub Crawls were voted The Best by locals here and all of you around the world. Thanks and Love to you all. Spooky Steve and his Fabulous Raven were there to accept the award. Colonial Park Cemetery is one of Savannah's most haunted locations. We call it "Ghost Central". Born in 1750 to replace a chaotic, unorganized burial site, this cemetery is known to have almost 11,000 burials including the remains of Yellow Fever victims who died in the Yellow Fever Outbreak of 1820. The cemetery stopped taking new burials in 1853, about 8 years before the start of The Civil War. Union soldiers used this cemetery as a camping ground during Sherman's occupation of Savannah and allegedly vandalized and desecrated many graves, markers and crypts there. Bayonets were used to change names and dates of birth and death, for instance, one very large grave marker says the person died at 421 years old! The remains of major general Nathanael Greene (1742–1786) reposed in the cemetery's Graham vault between 1786 and 1901. His body went missing for 115 years until a proposed monument was in the works at which point they where finally located reposing in The Graham Vault. General Greene's body was then reinterred in Johnson Square, along with the remains of his eldest son, George Washington Greene. His remains had shared the vault with those of John Maitland, his arch-rival in the Revolutionary War! Colonial Park was made a city park in 1896. Button Gwinnett, one of the signers of The Declaration Of Independence is buried there. To say this piece of land, smack dab in the middle of Savannah's Historic District is haunted is an understatement! Here we see paranormal activity practically on a daily basis, year round. Colonial Park's ghosts are many and varied and Lots of strange things happen here. Pictured here is the front gate with the beautiful Eagle and the DAR inscription which stands for Daughters Of The American Revolution: Dar.org. DAR helped erect this entrance and put a fence around the property in 1913-1914. It is here that we often observe incredible phenomena such as this sideways lightning. Sometimes we do an afternoon Haunted History Tour at 2:00pm. It's an all ages tour thats heavy on the history and hauntings of "America's Most Haunted City", beautiful Savannah, Georgia. Pictured below are two of our young visitors, part of a group of adults and their kids. These were two really smart and inquisitive youngsters. We were right outside the gorgeous Neo-Gothic Cathedral Basilica Of St. John The Baptist and look what drove by!

A chuckle folks. Spooky Steve and Raven appeared on German and European TV screens last Tuesday night, featured on RTL Deutschland's Explosiv X show! This is Germany's largest network. You'll see Spooky Steve whip out the Forward Looking Radar/FLIR in Anna's Room at the Infamous 1790 Inn. There were reports in Europe of people screaming and then running out of their TV rooms when they saw Spooky Steve's face. Then Raven came on and they resumed watching, Bwahaha.. One of Spooky Steve and Raven's favorite haunted taverns here in Savannah is The 1790 Inn. We visit this unique, haunted and historic landmark 6 nights a week and have done so for many years. People just love the ambiance, not to mention the oh so yummy Key Lime Pie Shots and their homemade Savannah style Sangria. These two clips from the 1976 movie Gator, starring Burt Reynolds and Jerry Reed were filmed at The 1790 Inn. Incidentally, Gator was Burt Reynold's debut as a director as well. So many recognizable spots here in Savannah can be seen in the movie. Check out how the interior of the 1790 looked 47 years ago! Moon River Brewing's infamous Mr. Bill is the nicest guy and damn good server y'all will ever meet. It's curious that he attracts so much Paranormal activity. I mean he does work in one of the most haunted buildings on the planet, but why do the entities single him out for special attention? Could it be jealousy?
