Hotel sales and marketing professional for a Hotel in Playa Esterillos

Position overview

We are looking for full-time sales professionals who have experience in marketing / selling hotel room packages to both individuals and groups. This role is a 6-day working week, and will suit someone who loves talking with potential guests to make sales and is a results-based person with ambitious goals. Please apply if you love calling and talking to people planning their vacation and want to get paid great money for your above-average sales ability.

Responsibilities

You will be calling back potential guests, answering their questions, and then selling them packages which include accommodation, food, transfers, etc.
All calls would be made through Skype (the company would cover the cost of costs). Most of the callbacks you would be making would be to past guests, or potential guests who've directly requested a callback).
Most of the leads you will be calling will be based in Costa Rica, although some may be overseas in places like the USA.�

Additional tasks may include:

Answering all social media / email / WhatsApp enquiries
Sending out marketing materials to past guests, to get them to come back.
Preparing offers / presentations using our Keynote / PowerPoint slide templates, to attract group bookings such as weddings / business conferences
Writing / translating marketing materials from English to Spanish (e.g., Emails / social media posts)
Finding new joint venture partners for the hotel (such as travel agencies), arranging a site visit, and putting in place the joint venture deal
Getting the hotel listed on new online booking websites (sites like booking.com, etc.)y

Requisites

Must be enthusiastic and driven in sales, enjoy collaborating with people and not be afraid to make calls.
A background in tourism is essential and specifically in hotels even better. Candidates who have worked in a travel agency are encouraged to apply.
Experience in using a property management tool is a huge plus. The hotel currently uses cloudbeds.com. Whilst it’s not imperative to have experience with that particular tool, it would be highly useful if you have used at least another software.
Digital marketing experience managing social media is a plus but not a requisite.
Ability to live on site at the hotel. The first 30 days will be remote then if both parties agree, the role will move on-site. This is crucial to understanding more about the product that you are selling. The accommodation will be included in the package, and you can purchase food at a discounted rate of 50%.
Having your own vehicle is a huge plus since the hotel is not in a central area.
We are looking to hire for an immediate start. Interested? You need to be fluent in both English and Spanish and be able to write well in both languages as well.

Salary package

Base salary is $1000 and on each direct sale you make, you'd get paid a 1% commission. This includes for groups (weddings / business conferences).
Costa Rican labour model with full benefits
Accommodation included as part of the package and 50% discount on food at the hotel.
