Baby Care Centers✨ When I tell you I couldn't have made it through my boys baby years without these- I'm not lying! Still to this day (they're 4) we pop in to cool down, use a decent bathroom and grab something we undoubtedly forgot. The baby centers offer a nice open space to change your baby's diaper without being crowded or shoved into a corner. Also offer rooms for nursing with rocking chairs. They have everything from snacks, baby food, diapers, sunscreen and medicines you may have forgotten! To be able to escape the heat (or cold - I see you DLP) & crowds for even a little while is such a game changer for littles! It's something I'm so glad we were able to take advantage of while our children were little. #disneywithkids #disneymom #disneybaby #disneymomlife
Storybook Nannies✨Ever wanted a date night alone with your spouse? Just needed some extra hands while running around the parks all day? They have you covered! They will come to either your resort or the parks and watch your kiddos for you. I am definitely the first person to be a little nervous to leave my children with anyone but myself. But they made me AND the boys feel so comfortable and really treated my kids as their own. My son has still been asking when his new friend is coming back to play! Overall I cannot recommend them enough and I for one cannot wait to use them again on our next trip ☺️✨
Epcot Flower & Garden Festival starts TODAY! 🌼🌸✨ this is definitely one of my favorite festivals that take place all year & I can’t wait to be soaking it all in at the end of the month! Are you attending this year? If so drop your countdown below! ☺️
Universal's Dockside Inn & Suites - Standard Room ✨Dockside Inn is apart of Universals newest value category of hotels! Staying on site comes with many perks that definitely come in handy during your stay!- One of the biggest perks to staying at this resort is the Early Park Admission to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. You get to enjoy this part of the park up to one hour before time of opening. Next is of course the complimentary transportation to and from the park, water park and city walk. Another fun perk is being able to shop in the parks and having purchases delivered back to your room instead of having to carry them around all day!All in all this is a great, money friendly way to stay and play at Universal Studios☺️🌎✨
Being a travel agent people obviously always ask me my biggest Disney tips. My #1 biggest tip (especially with children) is to SLOW down and LOSE THE EXPECTATIONS! Anyone who is a parent knows that usually a fully perfectly planned day is not going to go as such a. I usually tell my clients to pick out 2-3 things that are a MUST do and stick to those things first! Then another list of 2-3 things that are also important but ok if it gets missed out on. Usually they end up getting these things done but if not - NO STRESS! I know first hand that it feels like you have to plan everything to have an amazing time. Yet most my favorite memories are where the magic found us totally unplanned and unexpected ✨
Hogwarts Express✨ It's true! The only way to get to ride the beloved Hogwarts Express is to have a park-to-park ticket for Universal Studios! Booking a few families the last couple days and the deciding factor for their ticket choice was being able to do this experience. For all my Potter fans - this is definitely something you DO NOT want to miss out on just because you didn't know!
CHEF MICKEY’S✨ This was one of my favorite meals by far (experience and food wise) on our last trip. You get to see all of your favorite friends Donald,Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and of course Chef Mickey himself! As of right now it's still family style diningbut soon it will be returning to its all you can eat buffet on March 1st. For me personally, this is one you don't want to miss on your next vacation!
We did a recent trip and stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge and ✨ what a dream. This was definitely one of my bucket list resorts and 150% worth it. What’s your bucket list resorts?
Believe me when I say I TOTALLY understand the stress that can come along with traveling with toddlers. These are just a few of my favorite tips after doing it so often!
1. Explain every single little detail (that you know) of your day that’s coming up. *were going to wake up, it’s going to still be dark, we’re going to drive in the car then get on a big plane*. The more they know the better off EVERYONE is! This keeps them prepared for what’s going to happen in a day that may not be so normal for them.
2. Snacks! This one definitely seems like a no brainer but always over compensate on the amount of snacks you may need during traveling.
3. For the love of your sanity, check your car seats. I’ve been the one that is lugging two gigantic car seats around an airport and onto an airplane and I just don’t think there’s ever a time it’s worth the pain lol. It’s FREE so definitely take advantage! (Also definitely get a car seat bag if this is your choice you make!)
4. This may be a personal opinion in everyone’s family but in ours IPADS. Make sure the night before everything is downloaded onto your platforms and don’t just depend on the WiFi to be working.
5. Backpacks! I always have the boys pack a toddler size backpack with their favorite toys/ coloring books/ stickers and their headphones! That way all their personal things are right where they want when they need it.
With all this said, sometimes while traveling with toddlers (or at all) unexpected things come up. So give yourself grace and try to roll with it!
It’s no shock to anyone when I say that Disney in the summer is HOT. But here’s some ways to make the summer days with your family (especially the tiny members) a little more enjoyable!
- Splash pads! 💦 These are perfect for a hot day for the kiddos. There’s two different splash pads — one located at Magic Kingdom in Storybook circus and the other at Epcot on the main path between future world and world showcase!
- Cooling fans/ stroller fans. For adults I definitely suggest looking into a small handheld fan or one of the ones that go around your neck. For littles it’s an absolute MUST to have a stroller fan (or 3 😉). Even better if these things are able to be recharged at the end of a long day!
- Ride choices 🎠 sometimes on a hot day there’s nothing and I mean -nothing- better than a nice breezy ride on people mover. Make sure to try to choose rides with lines in the shade and are covered once riding.
- Cooling towels/ umbrellas. Try to remember to bring your own! I promise you if you forget you will cave in the heat and end up buying something you could have bought cheaper at home.
- Inside activities 🐠. My boys are OBSESSED with the inside aquarium after the Nemo ride in Epcot. Honestly I think they could spend the entire day there and be happy. This is our favorite but there’s always plenty of shows to get you out of the heat as well!
- Last but not least pool/ resort time! This is why I say to choose your resort VERY carefully when you have littles. You don’t want to be stuck in the middle of a terribly hot day and have nowhere to go. When we went in July last year every single day around mid day we want back to our resort for either swimming or a short nap before heading back out.
So YES Orlando is hot in the summer 🥵 But there’s definitely ways to still make your vacation great! #disneyvacation #disneyfamily #disneyfamilyvacation #disneytoddler #disneykids #disneytips #disneytoddlertips #summervacation
Sometimes taking toddlers places -especially busy (expensive) places - can make you a little anxious. So here’s a few tips to turn make sure your trip is ✨magic✨1. Have PATIENCE. Most importantly this is #1. When doing Disney with kids things 110% aren’t going to go the way you planned, it’s facts 😂. So don’t expect to get every single thing done in the park and take your time. 2. Prioritize what’s important to you! Like I said in my first point, you’re probably not going to get every single thing done in a day, and that’s fine! But make sure you decide what is a MUST and what you can live without. 3. SNAAAAAACKS. 🤣 make sure you bring all the snacks. Especially if your kids are specific and have to have cheerios or a type of goldfish because they don’t sell those in the parks! 4. Baby care centers! These will actually change your life. There’s one in every park. It gives you plenty of room to feed & change your littles without being crammed in a bathroom. They also offer anything you may need for sale in case of emergencies. (Diapers, medication, food) 5. Stroller fans. If you’re not already aware Orlando is hot and I mean HOT for most of the year. Having some kind of stroller fan (or multiple) is definitely a life saver. Most importantly just HAVE FUN and let it all sink in. There’s nothing like watching Disney through their eyes ✨. Do you know that I’m more than “just” a Disney specific travel agent? •Yes of course I love to tell just about anyone who will listen that Disney is an amazing vacation destination. But in all reality for some families or couples … it’s just not! Therefore I want to be able to help with whatever vacation experience you decide to have. Whether it be an all inclusive vacation to Mexico, a cruise or even just your yearly trip to the beach. Not all vacations are the same and not all families are the same. Each still require the same love and magic poured into them ❤️
