A very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Disney ride or die, Megan! We've been friends since 7th grade . . . and sometimes still engage in 7th grade like antics. ChEARs to you and here's to many more years of fun! Here are some of my favorite memories!

(And yes, we DO hang out outside of Disney--when our respective kids' schedules allow us to get together!)

Disney is known for its epic food--including its treats! We discovered THREE new (to us) ah-MAZING treats this trip, all in Magic Kingdom!

1) Custom popcorn treat from the Confectionary! Choose your popcorn, your toppings, and your treats. OOOOhhhh myyyy! Something you can enjoy in AND out of the park!

2) Siracha maple chicken and (Mickey!) waffle. Slightly spicy. Slightly sweet. 100% perfection. Find it at Sleepy Hollow!

3) Beignets! The New Orleans staple was the perfect way to celebrate Mardi Gras! One warning: you will probably end up covered in powdered sugar. 🤣🤣 Found at Golden Oak Outpost!

What is YOUR favorite Disney treat!??!

Venturing to Disney while pregnant--especially in late second or the third trimester--is a different experience from the traditional trip, but can be just as fun! Here is what we did to to make it a great trip:

- Ask a PhotoPass photographer to take a picture of your bump! You might just be gifted with a fun keepsake!

- Check out the list of attractions that have expectant mother advisories. There is still a TON you can do, including tons of the shows you may have overlooked on previous trips (Tiki Birds or Country Bears anyone?!) You can filter to find that list here: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/ #/expectant-mothers/sort=alpha/

- Get your feet up as much as possible in between stints of walking. Bring some quick icepacks to keep those muscles loose and minimize any swelling, and consider wearing compression socks or hose.

- Most importantly, drink lots of water and listen to your body! We ended up not getting a whole lot done in Hollywood Studios because it was clear that I needed a break. So, we left the park, went to the resort, rested for a couple of hours not only did great the rest of the night, but also the next two days.

And, a huge shout out to Megan who made sure I was doing well all throughout the trip!

March Momcation-ette learning #1: always, always, always get travel insurance.

We made the trip, in large part, because Megan found CHEAP flights. But when you fly Allegiant, a winter storm hits your destination location, and Allegiant has limited options to get home, you may be stuck for a while and/or rack up bill to get there/hold on until you get home.

I meant to get travel insurance, but we planned Momcation so quick (less than 10 days), it slipped my mind. It would have cost me less than $100. Plus, it was just me. I figured it would all be fine. But I didn't get it, and we got delayed, and it ended up costing me (excluding Megan's expenses) more than $500+ to get home the next day that could have been reimbursed by travel insurance.

I've seen travel insurance save SO many vacation investments that have been saved because of insurance. You may not end up using it, but if you have to, you will be SO glad you did.

Because I'm a glass half full kinda gal, one unexpected positive thing was enjoying a meal at La Crêperie de Paris in Epcot! OH MAN. Whether you're craving something savory or sweet, they have you covered!

Looking for an 1) air conditioned location to 2) sit down, and 3) lighten the mood, do NOT be that guy and miss out on Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor at Magic Kingdom! It is a lot of silly fun and an opportunity to be a part of the show!
