During , we:

➡ booked and paid for the Fantasmic Dining Package, only to sit down at Fantastic and have it rained out;
➡ waited for a bus that didn't come on time and ultimately resulted in us opting out of Extended Evening Hours;
➡ were rained out of the Boo to You Parade and Fireworks at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party;
➡ were stuck on It's a Small World for 30 min (music on), and
➡ did I I mention there was RAIN!?

No trip to WDW is perfect. Some of them even come with 5 straight days of rain. But when you come mentally prepared for things not to go perfectly perfect, the usually come out practically perfect in every way.

Breakfast at Topolino's Terrace at the Riviera Resort is one of my absolute favorite character meals! The food! The characters! The view! 😍 Reservations can be tricky to get, but your travel advisor (ME!) can help!

Calling all animal LOVERS! The Wild Africa Trek is a must do if you are looking for an extra dose of adventure at Animal Kingdom! Get up close to giraffes, walk high above crocs, and enjoy a delicious meal over the savanna! You can book this magical extra 60 days before your arrival and, of course, you travel agent can help!

Hot tip!: A virtual queue pass is different than a lightning lane pass. You can still expect to stand in line for a good period of time, maybe up to an hour, to ride the ride. What it does is guarantee your spot in line which you cannot get into unless you have a spot on the virtual queue. The lightning lane pass will have significantly reduced wait times and you can have both! :)

Rope drop! Rope drop! Rope drop! If taking in as many attractions as possible is important to you. I can’t emphasize how much more you will get done if you get to the park 30-45 min BEFORE it opens! We arrived at 8:00 am for an 8:30 opening, and rode slinky dog dash and toy story mania TWO times before 9:15! I will say it again…ROPE DROP!

Whispering Canyone Cafe at Wilderness Lodge is SO much fun and is a fantastic option if you’re looking for BBQ just outside the Magic Kingdom gates. Just be careful when you ask for ketchup… you may end up with more than you bargained for!

Apparently God wants to go on a little longer as our flight keeps getting delayed. It’s not Disney, but we did find some comfy rockers in the Charlotte airport!
