Travel Tip Tuesday! The holidays at Universal are a magical time to visit! One of my family's favorite things to catch is the Macy's Holiday Parade! This parade is nothing short of the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade on TV for Thanksgiving! Here are some fun facts about Universal Macy's Holiday Parade: The Parade Floats are How Big!? There are 15 intricately hand-crafted floats featuring characters from Despicable Me, Madagascar, Shrek, and more. And these floats are big. It's really big. Weighing in at about 30,000 pounds and measuring 35 feet long, the float featuring Shrek, Fiona, and Dragon rivals the size of two large African elephants. Thanks to Dragon’s 16-foot wingspan, it’s also one of the widest. How Big Are the Balloons? It wouldn’t be a holiday parade without the classic Macy’s star balloons. These stars measure 24 feet wide or as wide as five taxi cars! There’s Snow!? Last year, more than 220 gallons of snow machine fluid were used to create a special Florida snow flurry during the parade’s finale. Hi there and Welcome to Fairytales Unlimited with Danielle Naffa! As a little girl, I have always loved everything Disney! Princesses, Mickey, Minnie, Mary Poppins, Tigger, the whole squad. I visited Disney for the first time at the age of 10! It was love at first sight!! Many years later, and two princesses, my love for Disney has grown! Watching the magic through their eyes, has brought me here today, my new home, Fairytales Unlimited.
