One fisherman from yesterday reported the following:

"We caught a pile of walleye, some wipers, and a couple cats. It was a good day on the pond!"

The water temperature is right around 60 degrees.

DWR was out surveying the fish and ran into a few nice ones!

Some of which included a few 40" Northern Pike, 38 walleye, they were mainly in that 16-20" size!

The catfish seem to be doing well and some nice-sized perch pushing 13"!

It was the 🥶 coldest Rotten Egg Hunt we can remember! It actually snowed a bit during the Egg hunt, but it didn't stop a few very committed kids!

Thanks for coming and braving the cold! Seeing happy kids is why we do it!

The Easter Bunny is running a little behind!

Don't forget next Saturday the 6th is Yuba State Parks 10th Annual Rotten Egg Hunt!

It's a late Easter egg hunt. End Easter with a bang, as you participate in the very last egg hunt of the season. Bring your family and friends and run through the park collecting as many goodies and prizes as you can. Park entrance fees apply. Egg hunt this year will be located on the North Beach under the trees! Starts at 11am sharp! You just need a day use pass, camping pass or annual pass to participate!

We have docks in the water at Oasis and Painted Rocks. There is plenty of water to launch and boat. Pay attention to the depth, we won't have buoys out for awhile.

It's still winter here! No ice on the reservoir! We are hoping things warm up soon! We are excited for the season!

The reservoir is starting to freeze, with larger areas frozen but still a lot of open water. The ice is definitely not safe as of now (1/4" thick). The water has definitely been coming up, an exact percentage I'm not sure, the system is currently off line. If I had to guess I would say mid 20 percentile.

It's Military Appreciation Day here at Yuba State Park!

All Military, current and past get in free for the day! Also as a way of saying thank you for your service, we are hosting a free breakfast for you and your families! Breakfast will be served from 8am to 10am under the Oasis day use pavilion!

Join us at North Beach at 1pm. Registration will begin at
12:00 pm. Prizes to the top 5 castles in Adult
INDIVIDUAL and TEAM builders. There are also
categories in kids' individual and team. Park entrance
fees apply. ($5 per INDIVIDUAL TEAM and $10 per multi
person TEAMS. Hog dogs and water available for purchase!

It's a beautiful day at Yuba State Park! It's nice to see a good amount of water in the reservoir and people having fun!

It's starting to look like a different reservoir! The water is still coming up quick with about 100' of ramp now in the water at Painted Rocks and close to around 300' of ramp at Oasis! We've literally been moving our docks up every day! We are gaining around 2% a day right now and are currently at 34% capacity!
