Thanks for your interest and support of Containerly! We've made some changes recently so we wanted to let you know the news.

We've decided to split the cabin design business, Containerly, from the retreat center business.

The retreat is now called KASABA, which means town in Turkish.

This name feels so much more like what we are wanting to create as a space for people to gather - a village of entrepreneurs and changemakers who value wellness and peace.

KASABA is focused on inviting people to own a tiny home in our first location, a short drive from San Francisco.

Containerly will continue as the supplier of the zen-style 40ft container cabins, designed by Merinda Garrett and built by Alternative Living Spaces in Las Vegas. We're now opening up the village to additional cabin models by a select group of vendors.

Stay tuned for more updates!

KASABA is a network of co-retreat villages designed for spending time in nature with like-minded people. We welcome short-term visitors attending creative and wellness workshps, alongside longer term members who are co-working and living in their tiny home cabin.

Our personal and public health has really come into sharp focus.
Beyond physical health, we're gaining more understanding of our human need to be connected.
This TED talk from Seattle Architect Grace Kim, shows how her co-housing community design has taken a holistic approach to healthy living.

Loneliness doesn't always stem from being alone. For architect Grace Kim, loneliness is a function of how socially connected we feel to the people around us -- and it's often the result of the homes we live in. She shares an age-old antidote to isolation: cohousing, a way of living where people choo...

How do we increase access to fresh, nutritious foods in places lacking the land to grow it? Square Roots may be bringing us towards the solution by growing the equivalent of a 2-acre garden inside a shipping container!

Not just a timely title, this book/movie is a beautiful story, particularly if you're opting for working from home.

Directed by Mike Newell. With Javier Bardem, Giovanna Mezzogiorno, Benjamin Bratt, Gina Bernard Forbes. Florentino, rejected by the beautiful Fermina at a young age, devotes much of his adult life to carnal affairs as a desperate attempt to heal his broken heart.

Most utopian communities are, like most start-ups, short-lived. What makes the difference between failure and success?

Such an inspiring story! We can do this!

Four couples decided to build their perfect “getaway” in good ol’ Texas. These eight best friends thought of an eco-town made out of tiny homes, and architect Matt Garcia made their wish come true. The cabins, facing the Llano river outside of Austin, Texas, cost around $40,000 each and are en...
