* This is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath loft. Max occupancy is 4 (2 adults and 2 children) Main bedroom is on first floor. Second bedroom is in full loft and accessible by a ships ladder. Toddlers under 7 and people with mobility issues may not be able to climb the loft stairs.

We were so fortunate to have Roger the " bee whisperer" help us with our problem.
We now have a bee hive on our property that will attract stragler honey bees and keep them away from the cottage.
Want to learn about the bees when staying at our cottage? Roger loves to share his love of bees and would love to arrange a visit while you stay at the cottage. 🏵🐝

Sleep in the woods, wake to the birds...© This is a 2/1 cottage in the woods on 4.8 secluded acres. Hot tub, King bed in main bedroom, 2 tempurpedic x-long twin upstairs. Max occupancy is 4.
We don't believe in extra fees! No booking fees, no admin fees, no management fees, no hot tub fees, no nonsense fees! We have a housekeeping fee that goes directly to the housekeeper and Alabama taxes. Book direct and save 14-15% in "booking fees" that you would pay on VRBO or ABNB to book on their site.
While we are in the woods, we are only 1 mile from the center of Mentone. Off the beaten path, on a paved, quiet road.

Our first available week-end right now is April 5,6, 7 however we DO have lots of midweek dates available. Midweek rates are lower than week-end rates and it's just as beautiful. Check out website for any specials that we have.
BTW - daffodils are peeking through!

Today is " Book Direct Day".
Friends don't let friends pay at least 15% more when booking on Abnb, Vrbo or any other platform that charges " travelers fees", "booking fees", etc.
Book direct through the owner and save. Please share.
Thanks to all my wonderful guests over the past year who have booked direct and saved on average of $75.00 for their stay.

Was looking at some pics of the snow at the cottage in 2018, I believe. Made me fall in love with winter and winter in the woods. There is truly no time of year that isn't spectacular...
Now that we are approaching February, I look forward to the daffodils. Some years they're early and some, like last year, they appeared very late.
I'm hoping they start peaking through the ground soon.☺️

Vrbo's " guest services fee" just went up. Please understand that " guest services" is not something the owner is charging. Its a percentage that vrbo is CHARGING YOU for the privledge of booking on their site.
Someone just booked a 3 day stay on VRBO and paid 69.00 for " Guest services". This was about 15% of the total.
69.00 would pay for your meals in Mentone during the stay.
Please book direct whenever, where ever you'll be going.
Most legitimate owners have websites or put various " hints" on their listings with Vrbo or Airbnb.
