Our little group arrived in Budapest today. We are staying on the Buda side at Hotel Clark Budapest directly in front of the Chain Bridge (Széchenyi Lánchíd). After a quick trip up the Funicular to visit the Fisherman's Bastion (HÁLÁSZBASTYA). We then visited Lánchíd Söröző for dinner. Percy and Pippa from Poppets Coffee popped in for a picture on the wall of fame!

While we are in Budapest, be sure to visit Margitsziget the island in the Danube between Buda & Pest. The musical fountain performs throughout the day, with the grand finale at 21:00.

Take tram 19/41 from the hotel to Margit hid, then walk over the bridge to the island.

Our Story

Several years ago, there appeared to be a substantial void in the travel industry regarding affordable accommodation packages to amazing events of the world, like Oktoberfest. Oktoberfest Packages by Spyglass Tours LLC was born out of a necessity to fill that void. As a bonus, I have the opportunity to share my two greatest passions - Travel and Meeting new people.

My love affair with European Travel began when I decided to backpack (Tent Camp) across Europe. I had never been, and I was a little older than the average backpacker. I happened to be in Munich on my 30th birthday, and was amazed by the sense of belonging I immediately felt in this magnificent city. Gemütlichkeit, the locals call it - a state of mind that cannot be translated.

That trip was quite an awakening! Back at home, my thoughts were constantly on returning as often as possible.
