In case anyone is wondering why we haven't been able to open up Islandview Cabin for rentals since September. (Or even use the place ourselves.) At the end of last summer we hired a local company to level the kitchen floor. We were quoted a hefty price considering the hubby had to do the tear out himself, but we were promised a completed floor within just a few days, so we gave them a substantial deposit and told them to get started. Because this is an older cabin we didn't know exactly what we'd find under the floor, but we were promised that they could handle anything that needed to be done. It's now the end of January and this is what we've been left with. AND after ghosting us for months we just got a certified letter (delivered to the cabin that we don't live at and can't use) that states they are going to take us to court for the remaining amount we owe them for completing the project. Needless to say, we are disgusted with this company. 😠😠ðŸ˜
