Wonderful news! The city is to restore the landscape at city hall the original Garret Eckbo design!

Renowned landscape architect Garret Eckbo design used mostly water efficient native desert plant species. Over time, most of the historic landscape was converted to turf – requiring increasingly more water.

It's exciting to see the prototype Aluminaire nearing completion at the Palm Springs Art Museum

The Aluminaire House drew crowds, and ridicule, in 1931. After several moves and a brush with demolition, it has found a home in Southern California.
