Okay, here's the hack! Stay the night before at a Disney Resort or hotel that offers the DCL transfers. This almost always ensures you will have one of the first boarding groups!
Ideally you should be traveling in a day before your sailing anyway in case of delays, cancellations, etc. So might as well stay at a hotel that offers the transportation!
When you stay at one of these locations the process is seamless! The hotel staff will even collect your bags from your room that morning and deliver to the ship.
